Boston career girl Amy Adams travels to Ireland where her boyfriend is working in order to propose to him as it's a leap year. But of course, circumstances and contrivances conspire against her, making the journey a prolonged disaster, in company of a laconic hunky Irishman. Hmm, do you think she might fall in love with him? Not one second of this is unpredictable, in fact the whole thing is listlessly performed as if neither of the two leads really believe any of it. In amongst all the condescending stereotypes, the scenery at least looks lovely.
If you loved PS I love you or when Harry met Sally, then this is right up your street. My wife and 12 year old daughter love this dvd and have watched it several times, each time finding something else to make them laugh or swoon. A deffinate for all the sloppy, smoochy movie collectors.
