well, there is a lot more action in 'eclipse' than in the previous films in the series, it is also turning 'darker'
'bella' wooed by 'edward' and 'jacob' as 'victoria' leads an assault on the 'cullens' who in turn are determined to protect 'bella' and their domain.
the next film in the series 'breaking dawn' should resolve the outstanding issues, though as it is a two part offering the best should be the second part as the 'cullen' klan are joined by others to tackle the invading 'vampire' army.
Eclipse (2010) is the third movie in the Twilight franchise and its stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone and Bryce Dallas Howard.
This movie has more action then the previous one New Moon and the there are some nice moments for the supporting cast as both Jasper and Rosalie get a backstory.
The biggest problem with this movie is that once again it spends too much time telling some soppy romance as Bella tries to choose between Edward or Jacob.
Director David Slade (30 Days Of Night) fails to bring the dark edge which he displayed in his previous movies. The CG-Animated wolves look fake still and the fighting scenes never feel dangerous or exciting.
Eclipse is better then New Moon but once again the soppy romance side of this movie has spoiled what could have been quite an exciting vampire movie.
If you love the other movies, you will love this one. It is easily the best so far.
Eclipse restores my faith in the Twilight saga after being slightly disappointed with the New Moon film. Love rivals Edward and Jacob have to join forces in order to protect Bella from a new breed of vampires. The action has at last peaked up a little and the whole of the cast are really sinking their teeth into this great saga. I found with the film "New Moon" that most of the best parts were all shown in the trailer but I guess it was the weaker book too. Eclipse has alot more humour then the other two films and you are left wanting more when the credits roll up. I know from reading the books that things are going to really hot up in the next film "Breaking Dawn!"
This was the best film so far. This has progressed from a simple love story into an action film. The characters have grown and there was some good humourous moments. Leaves you hardly able to wait for the next film.
