Last Chance Harvey (Blu-ray)

some might find much of this a little slow early on, however if you stick with it you will find many of life's reality's that will be recognised by many.
'harvey' ( one of hollywood's great actors 'dustin hoffman ) flys from the u.s. to 'london' to see his daughter married when reaching the hotel he'd been booked into, he find himself on his own there, he'd thought the wedding guests including his daughter would be staying at the same hotel prior to the wedding.
this really sets the stage for his initial face-up at the pre-wedding gathering when coming face to face with his ex, her partner and a room full of strangers.
dissapointment becomes the order of the pre-wedding evening.
he leaves the wedding early the next day to catch a flight home after missing this, by chance, in a 'london' bar he see's a familiar face, it was the woman who he'd earlier brushed aside at the airport when asked for a minute or two to answer a questionaire.
after an awkward few moments along with some humble apoligies, 'kate and 'harvey' find common ground to continue conversation.
this sets you up with a rough guide to the plot of the film.
it's a pleasant watch, with a pretty decent story-line flow.
worth at least a watch.

I watched this on SKY HD and thought it was an excellent romantic feelgood film that I could watch over again. Bought it on Bluray expecting a better picture and the whole of the film. Mistake - film transfer to Bluray was poor with the 1080i on sky being much better. The bit where Harvey has to get kitchen staff to remove the security tag from his jacket is missing making me wonder what other cuts have taken place. With all the extra available space on bluray you do not expect or desire the film to be cut, be warned.
