Comment:Brand new official UK region 2 Blu-Ray exactly as pictured. This excellent movie is now out of print and very very rare.

John Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) awakens alone in a strange hotel to find he is wanted for a series of brutal murders. His memories have vanished and even his beautiful wife, Emma (Jennifer Connelly) has become estranged from him. So begins a quest to unravel the mysteries of his pact; a quest that will take him into a fiendish underworld where he is relentlessly pursued by the police and a gang of shadow-like beings known as the Strangers and where only the sinister Doctor Schreber (Keifer Sutherland) is able to help him.

I have to say, like many, I missed this when it came out at the cinema so this was brand new for me. I think that it was a shame this missed out on the publicity as it is not a million miles away from the Matrix, and a year earlier, however with the ground breaking special effects and the big name cast, the Matrix seems to have taken all the glory. This disc contains both the original and theatrical releases, and with lots of extras this is a great disc for fans and new viewers alike. The film itself is a clever sci-fun/murder mystery film which keeps you interested for the whole time. It also looks and sounds good on the blu-ray transfer, giving you a great idea of the in depth and atmospheric sets. I enjoyed this very much!

This is an awesome sci-fi movie with a very interesting and original plot and great visual effects. The cast are all perfect and there is also a bit of twist too at the end. Absolutely worth buying for any fan of the genre who has not seen this. Must buy.

 A classic.

I love this film, it's fast becoming a classic, if not already.
Just because your system is set up wrong, or your brain had to work when watching the film, doesn't mean it deserves 1 star.
Well worth the buy in my honest opinion.

A great Blu-ray release of an excellent (often under-appreciated) film, the picture quality is very good and the DTS-HD Master 7.1 audio is superb. Although labelled 'Director's Cut' this release features both versions of the film with audio commentaries for both, plus other solid extras such as the 43 minute "Memories of Shell Beach". Not to be missed.

 Very Very Original!

I'd never heard of this film untill a couple of weeks ago when I was scanning the 3 for 2 offers and thought I'd give it ago, now that I've seen it I can't believe it escaped me as I thouroughly enjoyed it.
If you love your sci fi then this is a must see, it has an excellent cast and plot that keeps you engrossed from start to finish. It also has a truly great transfer which just looks stunning with great sets and a very involving DTS Master Audio soundtrack.
Highly Recommended.
