Senna is the true story of Brazilian motor-racing legend, Ayrton Senna, whom many believe was the greatest driver who ever lived.

Spanning Senna's titanic Formula One career, the film charts his physical and spiritual journey, both on track and off; his quest for perfection and his ultimate transformation from a supremely gifted novice, who exploded into F1 in 1984, to myth after the tragic events of Imola in 1994. Made with the full co-operation of the Senna family and Formula One Management, Senna is the first official documentary feature about his life, featuring astounding archive material, much of which is previously unseen.

  • 'Triple Play Edition' includes the movie on 3 formats: Blu-ray, DVD & Digital Copy!
  • Feature Commentary with Director and Filmmakers (non-branched only)
  • The Greatest Victory of All
  • "Lost" Radio interview with Gerald Donaldson

finally, the most eagerly awaited film (for me)

i thought i knew everything about Ayrton,
it's not until you see the private family footage, that you have a real insight into this amazing mans life.
i was looking forward to this movie like nothing before it.
from the minute Ayrtons mother started talking, till 5 minutes after the lights came on, i cried like a baby,
this is a 'Must Have' as far as i am conserned,
i have seen all his races (except for the Mercedes 190 race at the Nurburgring in 1984)
have read all the books by various authors,
seen the movie,
now i have to own it as well,
i need this, like a lady needs an expensive pair of shoes....

 Utterly Brilliant

This goes beyond a Formula 1 or even Sporting documentary - it is a brilliant piece of film-making that does justice to the legend that is Ayrton Senna. I am bias as a Formula 1 fan who adored this man - but I am also a film fan and I can say with absolute conviction that anyone who loves inspired stories, great films, drama and human heart will not be left wanting after watching this documentary. It is breaking records and winning awards all over the World and so it should. It is a fitting and everlasting tribute to a simply wonderful man. Utterly brilliant.

 Just Amazing..........

Anyone who knows who Ayrton Senna was, will know just how great he was. This documentary just shows even the things you may not of known. Its enthralling, and the different emotions you go through in this documentary are ones Ive never had whilst watching a film before.

Must watch for all F1, motor racing and Ayrton fans

 Inspired

I've been a Senna fan for as long as I can remember and could not wait to see this film. From the opening to its end you are taken on a journey that saw one of the sports greatest competitors rise to fame and reach the ultimate prize. Emotion is key and the film sucks you into the world of a man driven by a desire to win.

We all know the likely outcome of that terrible weekend, but to watch this film, for me, was a privilege.

 Prost V Senna....

F1 Fans, knock yourself out. This one is for you, some of the in car footage is fantastic and frankley terrifying, if you are into car racing that is. My wife who likes car racing a bit was not overly impressed and while she thought it sad that he died, which we all knew was coming so made it as tense as Titanic, the rest of the film was a bit slow and should really have been called Prost V Senna and why Senna thought he was hard done by. Difficult when only one protaganist is still alive admtedly as you only get the one view now. The Blu Ray seems pointless as the pic is mostly awful and do I feel I know the man Senna more now, not really, nothing you couldn't have guessed at. He holiday'd on big boats with nice looking girls around him, was a national hero in a poverty stricken country, was charitable giving rides in his speed boat, liked a female or two, died a tragic untimely death competing at the sharp end of an inherently dangerous sport. Sad but not the ground breaker I had been looking forward to being immersed by.
