More intrigue, suspense, weirdness and laughs in the return of the cliff-hanging comedy thriller...

After the explosion at Ravenhill Hospital, Mr Jelly, Joy, David and Maureen Sowerbutts, Mr Lomax and Robert just want to get on with their twisted, mad and sad lives. But the shadowy, if technologically-deprived, Grace Andrews and the enigmatic detective Finney are tracking them down - one by one - in search of Nurse Kenchington's locket.

Meanwhile, we meet some new but equally bizarre Psychoville characters: Jeremy Goode, a librarian tortured by a silent singer as he hunts for 50 Great Coastal Walks of the British Isles Volume 2; Peter Bishop, whose toy shop, Hoyti Toyti, has a very strange basement and a desperate and dateless overworked make-up artist, Hattie.

What could they all have to do with the mystery - and why is it truly a matter of life and death?

 Brilliant second series

| | See all BobertS's reviews (3)

Fantastically written, captivating the entire way through, and funny throughout. The story started in the first series is drawn to a close by the time this second series finishes but there is still hope for a third.

One thing to note about the Halloween special included on the DVD/Blu-ray set; it's edited, missing the Mr. Lomax segment. Apparently the special will be getting it's own separate release later this year but this is rather frustrating as many people would rather not have to buy the same thing twice. Why 2Entertain chose to do this is beyond me.

Despite that little annoyance, this is a fantastic series and definitely worth a purchase if you liked the first.
