An isolated lunar astronaut begins to lose his grip on reality in this cerebral sci-fi thriller with one heck of a twist.

Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is just two weeks away from finishing a lengthy, lonely contract mining Earth's primary source of energy, Helium-3, on the dark side of the moon. Thanks to a glitch in the communications satellite, Sam's only companion on this trip is Gerty (voiced by Kevin Spacey), the base's unsophisticated computer, and the odd recorded message sent from home. As his contract nears termination, Sam starts suffering from crippling headaches and vivid hallucinations, which lead to a near-fatal accident in a lunar rover. But while he's recovering back at the base, he makes a shocking discovery: a younger version of himself has arrived to fulfil the same contract Sam started all that time ago. Is the second Sam just another hallucination or something altogether more sinister?

 The best sci-fi in decades.

This is a supurb debut movie from director Duncan Jones, 'Moon' is a harrowing tale of paranoia and isolation. Brilliant performances from the main cast make this a true British gem of a film.

Onto the Blu-ray itself the picture quality is fairly nice in places, especially when you are shown these great wide shots of the Moon being mined for Earth's primary energy source.
The sound is brilliant with the awe-inspiring score from Clint Mansell, which wraps the film in such atmosphere and tension (spectacular on 5.1 surround sound).

The special features are also excellent, with most of them in HD which is a really nice touch and you've got yourself a brilliant film with a Blu-ray edition it deserves, enjoy.

Found this movie to be enjoyable aswell as engaging.
The story was good and interesting, with only a few dips in the narrative.
Sam Rockwell was brilliant in it. And Kevin Spacey is perfect as the voice for the Robot.
Probably not an easy watch if ur looking for a fast paced sci-fi movie, this one has more of a Reflective feel to it.

I watched MOON at the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed this classic styled Sci-Fi movie. I found it reminiscent of Silent Running (1972 movie), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968 movie) and The Outer Limits TV series. This is one of the best sci-fi movies I have seen in a l o n g time.

 Moon Review

With its tag line being, 'The finest sci-fi movie since Blade runner', Moon had a lot to live up to, and it delivers.
Basically being Duncan Jones's (Zowie Bowie) coming out film, one might think Moon could be weak, but there isn't a stronger Sci-fi film out there. It is flawless.
Moon tries to move away from CGI and goes back to 2001:A space Odyssey style models, which works beautifully. The set really stands out as being something remarkable, a brilliant blend between futuristic fantasy and a realistic vision into future technology.
The score by Clint Mansell is wonderful. Worth buying in itself.
A must watch for anyone that enjoys a good character based drama.

i was totally captivated by sam rockwell's performance. a slowly building feeling of paranoia and isolation culminating in a brilliant last half hour.
films dont have to have action all he way through and multi-million cgi budgets.a great story, well photographed and subtly directed allows rockwell to shine.
