With this movie Quentin Tarantino is back on form after his lackluster Deathproof. Im not a fan of war movies but this genre is now forever corrupted with tarantinos insane inventive twist. This is his biggest budget movie to date and it paid off as it did very well at the box office. The cast is brillaint, Brad Pitt delivers another amazing underated performance, eli roth prooves he can perfrom in front of the camera as well as behind the camera, and Mr Watlz has created a classic cinema villian and thoroughly deserved his oscar, i hope with his new found fame he can continue these marvellous performances.
I avoided watching this for quite a while, purely on the drivel that was Deathproof - one of the worst films I've ever seen. But am I glad i did! Extremely violent, funny, meandering, with trademark Tarantino dialogue. Not as good as his masterpiece (jackie Brown), but good to see he's learned from his mistakes.
Seriously, don't pay attention to the 12-year-olds who can't appreciate the brilliant dialogue and suspense in this movie. For me, it's on the same level as his masterpiece Pulp Fiction, if not better. Everything is though out perfectly, characters are worked out, Christoph Waltz gives an amazing performance. This is a must see!
