Very cheesy acting, cheesy dialogue, predictable story until the end but thats not why you watch this movie, you watch it for the visual effects! The end of the world will never be more epic than this. If youre not a massive fan of Roland Emmerich films then just rent it as it does have the best display of disaster than any of his previous movies, but if you want more than that then you wont find it because as usual its as shallow underneath as all the rest of his films! Effects 5 stars, without them 1star.

 Fabulously silly.

Okay ,it is quite possibly the silliest movie I have ever seen. But it is also one of the most jaw dropping fun movies that has been released in years.Wonderful effects and an excellent Blu Ray presentation.Top marks.

LOVED IT!
I had to wait until I came out of the cinema to breathe :D
Soooo much better than Day After Tomorrow.
I love destructive end of the world films, and you can't get much more destruction into one film!
Awesome :)

So where did the .1 go?

Brilliant disaster movie, great special effects but what happened to the thunderous bass of collapsing buildings and exploding volcanoes? - I have a big subwoofer, but I'm a bass freak and so I also have a Buttkicker built into my chair. Go google it - they are used by Disney on rides etc. To give you some idea the buttkicker drive amplifier is 2,000 watts. Listen to other recent movies like Star Trek 11 and the sound is structurally dangerous - but with 2010 I honestly thought it had developed a fault. I feel robbed !!

 Excellent (must see)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to see this at the cinema with my girlfriend, both of us wern't expecting much of it, due to the day after tomorrow being terrible, but after watching it i believe it to be 1 of the best films in a long time. good cinematics, storyline, characters, action, just an all round great film. Normally as well when a film is good it has a really bad ending, personally i don't think its ending was that bad, not great but not terrible either, definately a must see!
