A great return to one of my faves of sci-fi programmes. With all of the characters back for another mayhem filled adventure.

To be honest I didn't like Back To Earth that much when it came out back in easter 2009 but being a bit of a fan I have all the past series so I decide to buy it. And Im glad I did because it was brilliant, It was so much better watching it in one big go with the director cut and the quality looks amazing.

Special Features: The commentaries are great with the cast lots of laughs, story's and good fun. The director commentary with Doug Naylor is good talks about the hole show in depth and explains a lot. The making of back to earth is great it shows you the behind scenes and how they did it. Deleted scenes are good, classic smeg ups and much more.

Old favourite returns with mixed receptions.

This blu-ray release improves on the tv shows that where shown back in easter. They play straight through with no splitting into 3 different episodes and works betters. Some classic red dwarf gags but is still missing what made it great. No bottled laughter doesnt help the feel either. Blu-ray release is incredible - great picture and sound brings out all the detail of the ships and earth. 4/5 stars for a great effort which could have been better. Great blu-ray transfer though. Enjoy!

This 2 part episode is nothing like the orginals, I loved this programme so much when i missed it on tv i had to try and see if there was a downloadable version on the net. But those were the old days. This recently 2 part venture seems un-funny and lacking in a solid story line. If i had personally seen the script for theses 2 episodes i would of told them to rewrite it. If you ask me im sure the orginal script writters didnt write this one its so out of character.

I loved Red Dwarf to bits, it was one of the best comedies ever made, and made me cry with laughter, I have watched ever episode many times, and was one of there biggest fans. But when one of the joint writes left and they brought in the eye candy kochanski it all seriously went down hill, (bless her its not her fault she was just badly and pointlessly written in). The comedy level drop until it stopped being funny and I hardly laughed or even smiled any more. Now with this Back to Earth episode, they have created the final death nail in their coffin. Its is the worst Red Dwarf Ever Made! and I wish I never saw it as it bring down the whole good feeling and love I had as a Dwarfer, I didn't laugh or even smile once though out it all, If you loved everything up to the end stuff don't get this it will kill it for you. Cry! :o(

What an amazing come back for Red Dwarf, this is 3 brand new episodes of the classic series, all the original cast are back and are top of their game, the comedy is fantastic and so funny, its just a shame its taken 10 years to do it. but hopefully this will spark a massive comeback to the ever popular and loveable franchise!

Red Dwarf: Back in the groove.

I was concerned that "Back to Earth" would be a pile of smeg but thankfully it deserves to carry the Red Dwarf logo! The cast and crew have done and excellent job of returning the show to it's glory after such a long absence from our screens. For me the show returns to it's roots with great humour, great acting and a great script. I absolutely loved this come back and I pray there will be more to follow.

Red Dwarf cant ever go wrong, proper British comedy, if it went the way of the league of gentlemen film I would have been disappointed but they stuck with what has always worked for them, roll on Red Dwarf the film! BOOM!

I have to disagree with the other reviewer 1 star rating. I have the DVD version and think it is terrific. If you watch the documentary, it explains why they decided to set the story with characters thinking they are actors in another universe. The FX are fab and they used state of the art HD cameras. Now they just need the funding to bring on the movie or another series.
