Mike Steele, were dropped by helicopter deep into the capital city of Mogadishu to capture two top lieutenants of a Somali warlord which leads to a large and chaotic firefight between the Rangers and hundreds of Somali gunmen which destroys two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters in Mogadishu.

A previous reviewer on here questioned the Blu Ray quality of this film stating it was grainy. I think the reviewer has missed the point as the film was shot that way and therefore the Grainy look is part of the movie ,designed to enhance the sence of realism. A similar style was used in 3 Kings (george clooney) and Jarheads ( Jake gellijallkeallinyyyee whatever his bloody name is).
Now I've cleared that up, this film is unbelievable well made. It takes a couple of goes to really apprecaite the depths and what the film portraits. The scene with the crashed Helicopter and that one soldier trying to defend himself against thousands of somalians with completely amasing yet difficult to watch. There in lies the secret of this film, the realism. Excellent film, one of the best war films ever made and a great cast with great cameos
Brilliant movie, made better in blu ray

Top 100 DVD Reviewer
For people looking at blu ray, i am sure most would have seen the movie already, which in my opinion, was brilliant, not the best war movie i have ever seen, but up there. It is a film you can watch again and again.
In terms of blu ray, there is a clear upgrade here, compared to dvd, everything is sharper and clearer and the actions scence look even more realistic,
If you have a decent sound set up, then you are also in for a treat.
Overall, this title is being sold for a very good price and it would be money well spent if you doubled dipped and got this on Blu ray.
I hope this review helps
Totally Immersed !

An absolutely absorbing film from start to finish, an account of what I can honestly say, now having watched this, any Soldier or Service personnel must go through when serving their country in any War. It felt like you were there with them. A very worthy buy even if your not a big war film buff and based on true events too. Gets my vote !
