The A-Team follows the exciting and daring exploits of John "Hannibal" Smith (Neeson), Templeton "Faceman" Peck (Cooper), Captain "Howling Mad" Murdock (Sharlto Copley - District 9) and Sgt Bosco "B.A." Baracus (UFC star Quinton "Rampage" Jackson): renegade Special Forces soldiers framed for a crime they did not commit. Going "rogue," the team must utilize their unique talents - and eccentricities - to clear their names and find the true culprit.

Also starring Jessica Biel (Valentine's Day), The A-Team is a thrilling reimagining of Stephen J. Cannell and Frank Lupo's seminal eighties TV series, featuring epic set pieces and some of the most insane stunts ever seen.

I LOVE IT WHEN A FILM COMES TOGETHER!

The "A" Team movie has been in production limbo for years with the likes of many Director linked to the project including the likes of Ridley and Tony Scott. Now finaly Director Joe Carnahan ( Narc, Smokin' Aces) has managed to dragged it to the big screeen with surprisingly excellent results.
With such iconic characters it would be a massive task to find a cast to fit them. Thankfully they all fit their parts like a glove Bradley Cooper excells as Face, Quinton (Rampage) Jackson makes a great B.A, Sharlito Wilson is great as Murdock, but Liam Neeson comes across the slightly weaker as Hannibal, as although he's perfectly cast as the leader of the Team he does lacks the swagger of Peppard ( from the original TV series)
Jessica Biel looks fit and pouty and Patrick Wilson is brilliantly smarmy as the C.I.A field agent.
The first half of the movie works best leading up to the team being set-up and imprisoned for a crime they did not commit, as that's when the plot makes most sense. This leads to the action packed second half as it flushes out the bad guys and their double/ triple crossing dirty games.
The movie works as more a prequel to how the Team became most wanted and sets everything up for the planned sequels. The sense of fun from the TV show is fully intact, as never does the movie take it's self too serious and this time the "A" TEAM shoot straight and shoot to kill!
But to all this there is a minus side. The plot in the second half looses a slight grip, and although action packed at times tries to be a bit to clever .
The extended version on the Blue Ray adds a bit more to the originally under written role for Jessica Biel but it's more a case of blink and you'll miss them.
The "A" TEAM movie manages to be a very entertaining thrill ride, that even if you were too young to remember the TV series should enjoy this muscle bound, testosterone fuelled action movie.
With the overall sense of fun and with some of the most over the top action sequences of the year, you find it near impossible to dislike it.
" I love it when a film comes together!"

I went to see this at the cinema last night and I was not left disappointed by this all action blockbuster.
I grew up watching the T.V series in the 80s and used to love the episodes, This film does hold a few similarities to the T.V series but if your waiting for them to be locked in a barn with a welding torch and scrap metal and five minutes later come out in a tank then you might be left disappointed by this film.
The casting for me was quite good Liam Neeson does a great job as Hannibal Smith and I thought District 9s Sharlto Copley does a decent job as madcap Murdoch.
Bradley Cooper does a good attempt at Face and of course replacing Mr.T was always going to be a tough job and Quinton Jackson gives it a good go as B.A but still seems to be missing the craziness that Mr.T brought to the role.
The plot is very simple and the film relies on its superb special effects and great stunts to deliver and if thats the kind of film you enjoy a simple no brainer blockbuster that is packed with visual treats then this is the movie for you.
Like in the T.V series The A-Team have been set up for a crime they did not commit in Iraq, They escape from federal prison and go about clearing their names with the help of the lovely Jessica Biel who plays Sosa the Army officer charged with bringing the fugitives to justice.
This is a brilliant summer blockbuster that has great special effects and the action starts from the first minute and does not let up until the film ends, This will be one of those films that gets huge divided opinions some will love this all out action blockbuster and some will slate it for being to different to the original T.V series the best way to look at this film is that it is named after the old T.V show but this is a new movie for a new generation.

 A very pleasant surprise!

I confess that news of an A-TEAM movie adaptation had me worried. I absolutely loathe it when the source material is spoofed and used as a 'star vehicle' for dubious comedy talents (STARSKY & HUTCH and THE DUKES OF HAZARD spring to mind), but seeing the cast for this film eased my mind and assured me that a more serious direction would be taken.

THE A-TEAM is made with clear affection for the original, but is now harder & grittier than before. People die, are betrayed and really get hurt. Action sequences are handled well and performances are fine for this genre. It DID take some time getting past Liam Neeson as 'Hannibal'. His performance is great, but that voice of his is soooo deep and distinct that it's hard to see anyone other than just Neeson. Sharlto Copely steals the show as Murdock - He just nails it perfectly. I can imagine everything he does also being done by Dwight Shultz in the original show. Inspired casting!

The plot is as absurd as the tv series, and that the film manages to cram so many nods to it's 'Daddy' and still be an 'origin movie' is remarkable.
Best of all is Jessica Biel in major role; as she's a major crush of mine, the A-TEAM automatically gets "5 stars" from the off ;)

Blu-Ray quality is excellent (ignore WHICH magazine... there IS a difference!), but there's an annoying 'hole' in the opening title music where an expletive appears to have been deleted from a rap song - Fuzz it, mask it, but don't DELETE it entirely guys. Sticks out like a sore thumb and really annoys me...

Fun, Exciting, Brilliant!!! Pity da fool!

Well i shoved this in last night. And boy i wasnt dissapointed!! Yeh i know people have criticised this. But i dont really see why. They obviously are stuck in their ways and not allowing for this brand new perspective.. modern perspective to be viewed by the masses.
Well worth the 1 hour 53 minutes! Brilliant acting throughout, with a great comical value. Great fight scenes! They have definately done the original series proud with this new fresh re make film!
I guarantee enjoyment by watching this.
If your looking for action, fun, adventure, a good plot, great acting and something to just make you laugh.. then i recommend this for you.. If you want a romantic film.. then search for something else..
5/5!!!

I think I missed half this film, because of the laughing that was done at Murdoch, "you spin me right round baby right round, the rotors are good sir" absalutely amazing. This film is a must see even if you havn't seen the series.
