Fresh out of jail and flat broke, Nick Kane (Tamer Hassan) is a desperate man with 24 hours to find £100,000.

As the recession hits the criminal world as hard as it is hitting Wall Street, notorious gangster and loan shark Mr. Thigo (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) arrives in London with his trusted aide Fitzroy (Ashley Walters) to make a brutal example out of one of his late payers.

Smashing his plans of going straight, Nick is given exactly 24 hours to come up with the money or face devastating consequences. As a guarantee, Thigo's men hold Nick's wheelchair-bound mum (Brenda Blethyn) hostage, leaving him no choice but to comply. Enlisting the help of his best mate, Bing (Danny Dyer), the boys embark on a frantic race against the clock; taking them from the dog tracks of East London to the underground drug scene of rural Manchester, as they try every trick and scam in the book to get the cash before it's too late...

Executive produced by football superstars Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole, and featuring a hot urban soundtrack with an exclusive track from 50 Cent, Dead Man Running is a hilarious, all-action thrill ride that ranks among the best crime thrillers of the decade.

Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan are top of their game in this movie playing the characters they were born to be, smart talking badass dodgy London geezers! Brilliant story full of mild action and mayhem and lots of laughs due to the superb dialogue! All done on a quality budget too! If your a big fan then this is a must have in the collection! I was a bit put off with the film city rats as the film was very bad and the two actors were wasted but Dead man running brings them back to glory in a proper brit flick full of gangsters and dealers! Check it out.

 Surprisingly good fun

Propelled by a bonkers conceit and a sense of fun, this rises slightly above it's dozens of other Brit-gangster brethren. Tamar Hassan makes an engaging front-man as the lead who has to get 50 Cent's 'Mr Sligo' 100,000 quid in 24 hours or his mum bites the dust. Danny Dyer supports in the kind of role he could probably sleepwalk through these days, but still gives it lots of enthusiasm, and Brenda Blethyn is surprisingly fun as the elderly, crippled, and conniving mum. The banter between Hassan and Dyer is fun, there are lots of (fairly predictable) twists, and some worthwhile comedy moments. All in all I expected to be let down but instead I had a very good time.

'what would you do to save the lives of both 'mum' and you ?

a gritty brit-flick which see's 'nick' (tamar hassan) in a race to raise 'one hundred thousand pound' to pay off a debt to a loan- shark that is allready four weeks overdue.
both he and his 'sick' mum are under threat of termination should he fail, he's got around 24 hours or less to do it.
the film also stars 'danny dyer' as hid trusted side-kick and 'curtis '50 cent' jackson' as the no nonsense loan-shark.
what will 'nick' be prepared to do to obtain the cash ?
not a bad watch at all. worth a spin.

 Suprisingly Good Film!

Watched it the other day and thought it was a good film. Although I hate 50 Cent he wasn't in it that much so that was good.

But there is some great moments with Tamer Hassan and Danny Dyer especially the petrol station :D

I recommend anyone who likes these 2 in movies together to go and watch it.
