Halo Legends (Steelbook) (Blu-ray)

Not so much a movie, but 8 short films tied together. It's surprisingly good though. Starts off with an 'origins' story of sorts (called 'Origins', split into two different short films), which chronicles the history of the Flood and the Forerunners, then moves on to the Covenant. 'The Duel' focuses on the original Arbiter, and explains why the position is one of shame amongst the Covenant. This one is done in a rather weird waterbrush effect but is interesting nontheless.

Most of the other films revolve around different Spartans or marines, and don't stand out as much as the rest. 'Odd One Out' is rather Dragonball-Z in style, and is actually quite funny at times (Spartan 1337 has some funny lines which I wasn't expecting). The final film is called 'The Package' - it's all done in CGI, but while it doesn't look breathtaking it's incredibly action-packed and has a very Star Wars-esque feel to it (from a space battle to a fight between Master Cheif and an Elite using energy… more »
