This film is AMAZING! quality of animation, music soundtrack, story line, voice over acting its all great. Dreamworks have developed a film that is entertaining for everyone, not boring, and with the perfect balance of humour and sentimental emotional scenes. Beautiful! I recommend everyone to see this film. cant get enough. this is film entertainment at a first class level.

A superb story about a young Viking boy desperate to impresshis father. Outstanding animation up on par with UP, toy story three and the ever underrated Astro boy.

Very funny and the voice actors are well selected particularly Gerard Butler.

We have watched it now many times and it still never fails to impress. If you have seen it on sky hd or virgin HD movies don't be put off. The blu ray is far superior. Definitely one for the collection.

  Brilliant......Pixar watchout

I took my kids to see this when it was released in 3D at the cinem, one the best 3D films I have ever seen. The flight scenes were amazing. Its been a long time since I have been to the cinema and seen/heard the audience clapping and cheering at the end and even hard-core teenagers who we making Hiccup sounds at the beginning when Hiccups name was mentioned were blown away by the end of it.

And now to watch it again and again at home the film is still great a real feel good movie. I promise this will not disappoint. It was premiered on Sky last week and still sat down and watched it again

  Top Family Film

Now this would be a good and perfect family film to watch with your kids for sure. Once again dreamworks are starting to really make good and enjoyable family films.
U have to watch this in the cinemas if not then buy this film only on Blu Ray Guys.

The plot is great, the characters charming, and the setting colourful and detailed. Hiccup reminds me of Remy in Ratatouille (which is a good thing!).
Really worth the extra cost to have on Blu-Ray rather than DVD, as the detail is stunning on this film, the blacks on Toothless are beyond anything else I've seen.

i loved this movie. the animation was excellent, the story was good and it wasnt to gentle like other kids movies, it was quite scary at times!! dreamworks did very well with this movie, this and kung fu panda are awesome.

  Better than Toy Story 3?!

I didn't think this was going to be that good, but a friend told me how amazing it was and after watching it 3 times, I agree that it is brilliant. The story, animation and character development is excellent. The dragon is great too- you can see the influence of Lilo and Stitch on it- loveable, friendly and unlike any dragon I've seen on film. beats Dragonheart, for sure... and don't be put off by the slightly dodgy title, it is so much better! And yes, i think it could be better than Toy Story 3...

Possibly the greatest animated film ever!

This film is absolutely fantastic!! Great fun for all the family and adults will appreciate it as much (if not more) than the kids.
The film setting, pace, animation and voice casting are all first class with Gerard Butler for me, being especially exceptional.
The humour is excellent too with lots of clever and quick dialogue with expressive, entertaining slap-stick animations from the dragons too.
I guarantee by the end of this film you will feel happy and will definitely want your own Night Fury dragon.
The sound and picture quality on Blu-ray is of course, first class. So buy in lots of unhealthy food, get the family together, hit the lights and gather around the TV for 90 minutes of animated brilliance!
