The biggest problem which this film is it takes ages, and I mean ages, for it to build up to the good part, and the only real good part was the last 20 minutes. What I mean is you get some build up before hand and then all it is, is a door closing by its self. But let me just get down to the point this isn't a scary film if I was you I'd get something else. As I say if you do get it just watch the last 20 minutes other than that it's just boring which I am sorry to say because I really wanted this film to be good. Oh well I'll try number 2.
I bought this movie with high hopes for some real excitement. Unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed with this zero budget junk. Everything was so completely fake looking and the childish bumping noises without letting you see anything until right at the end and then BOOO! What a dire, dire film. My kids could have done better with my camcorder! And why oh why put it on Blu-Ray when it is all low res camcorder stuff?
It seems to have become fashionable to make these sorts of movies lately and with some, like Cloverfield, it just works. With this one though it just doesn't for me. It's utter fakery bored me and my family throughout.
If you have read the other reviews that say it's really brilliant and exciting and OMG "watch it with the lights out" and they make you want to buy it then pleeeeeeze just buy the much cheaper DVD at least!
Few films have actually scared me but this did, this is a very well done horror film that plays on your mind way after the film finishes, done in the same way The Blair Witch Project was done but less vomit inducing. Picture was good on Blu-Ray but its the sound that makes this, especially with a good sound system. Watch this in the dark switch off your mind and enjoy one of the best horror films in years. Noises and bangs during the middle of the night will make you think twice after this!!!
At first, it seemed a little boring, though after the first few nights just when the girl starts doing a walkabout and stands besides her boyfriend for god knows how many hours, etc, etc.... it all gets all the more interesting! As for the blu-ray - I don't know much about sound quality but the picture is just about right for a blu ray which makes it just a little less than a perfect transfer from the DVD version! Enjoy!
