Stardust, based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess, takes audiences on an adventure in an imaginary world.

A young man named Tristan tries to win the heart of Victoria, the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village. On his odyssey, Tristan finds the star, which has transformed into a striking girl named Yvaine. However, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. A king's four living sons - not to mention the ghosts of their three dead brothers - all need the star as they vie for the throne. Tristan must also overcome the evil witch, Lamia, who needs the star to make her young again. As Tristan battles to survive these threats, encountering a pirate named Captain Shakespeare and a shady trader named Ferdy the Fence along the way, his quest changes. He must now win the heart of the star for himself as he discovers the meaning of true love.

 Just lovely!!

I have loved this film since I first saw it. It utterly captivated me, both in storyline and screenplay. It is almost worth it for Robert de Niro as the Captain, alone!!!

I seem to have been waiting for ever for it to come out on blu-ray, and am thrilled that there is not much longer to wait. If you are looking for a high-brow, thought provoking film this wont be for you, but if you want to be entertained and left feeling all warm annd fuzzy, then go for it!

 Refreshing

This movie is a breath of fresh air, a charming and unpretentious fantasy story, not so bad adapted from the Neil Gaiman's book. Don't expect an epic movie, but an entertaining adventures movie in the line of the best from the 80's, but with modern special effects and technics.

The Blu Ray transfer is exceptional, a great upgrade from the DVD, sharp image, accurate colour in all the palette, great contrast and natural flesh tones. A wonderful HD experience.

 Well worth watching

First off, I have seen many reviews saying that this film is nothing like Lord of the rings etc. This film does not intend to be anything like Lord of the rings and in it's own right is an excellent film.

It is a light hearted fantasy film with plenty of funny one liners that both adults and children will find funny. As said in an earlier review on here, it is a feel good movie and one I would watch again and again

 Love it!

My favourite film ever its a great story beautifully told on the screen. If youre feeling down and you need a lift this works every time.
