2012 (Blu-ray)

2 hours too long at least. Boring non story, cliche characters. The whole budget was spent on special effects it seems but after you have seen a near miss in one of every vehicle every made these wear very thin. Really don't know how I sat though it all.

great film,what do these `reviewers` expect from a disaster film???
its a great film although a bit over the top at times.BUY IT!!!

CGI special effects are best i have seen, if you like disaster movies this is a must see film. good special features, experience this movie on blu ray the bigger the screen the better.

I found The Day After Tomorrow took it's self a bit to serious and was a slow burner for me to get into even though it did have some amazing special effects at the time. 2012 is a very similar type of film which has a lot more humour and the action is relentless. The special effects are breath taking maybe even better then Avatar's or at least on par! It all looked so ultra realistic and the stuff that was going is mind blowing madness. I think Danny Glover who plays the president is the most famous actor in the film but this does not matter because the state of the art effect are the star of the show. If you want a fun pop corn movie of total mother earth world destruction then this is the film to get and I don't think Mr. Emmerich will top this one.

i had heard about this,but thought it was going to be yet another 'disaster' movie chock-a-block with CGI.then i borrowed it for a rainy day. and to be honest, i really enjoyed it! sure, its corny. but its take yer brain out and sit back enjoyment! only quibble is that danny glover plays an unconvincing president. but all in all, im defo getting this on blu ray.
