Gerard Butler (300) and Jamie Foxx (Collateral) star in Be Cool director F. Gary Gray's Law Abiding Citizen. A taut and tense thriller, packed with action and explosions, this vigilante vengeance movie is seriously confrontational and totally exhilarating.

Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is a family man whose wife and daughter were brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Against his will, Rice is forced to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice. Fast forward ten years: The man who got away with murder is found dead and Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Rice: either fix the flawed justice system, or key players in the trial will die.

Soon Shelton follows through on his threats, orchestrating from his jail cell a string of spectacularly diabolical assassinations. Rice finds himself in a desperate race against time facing a deadly adversary who always seems to be one step ahead.

If you enjoyed Law Abiding Citizen then why not check out some of these fantastic titles?

A Man Apart: Vin Diesel stars in this tale of a rogue cop looking for payback when his wife is murdered.

Gamer: Law Abiding Citizen's Gerard Butler plays a convict forced into life as a mind-controlled, real-life videogame puppet.

300: Gerard Butler kicks butt Spartan-style in Zack Snyder's swords and sandals beat `em-up based on Frank Miller's graphic novel.

The Soloist: Jamie Foxx teams up with Robert Downey Jr in this story of a hobo music prodigy given a second chance.

Collateral: Foxx turns kidnapped cab driver in this dark and foreboding film from Michael Mann starring Tom Cruise.

This is a very cool film indeed, a finely crafted story of revenge on the justice system! After his family is killed in a random attack on their home Clyde (Gerard Butler) feels the injustice as the people responsible do not get the punishment they deserve! So after waiting and planning for 10 years he slowly unravels his genius plan to take revenge on all those involved. The story is great as it plays out with a good pace filled with plenty of action and some very strong bloody violence! The cast is brilliant and overall is a very enjoyable film, certainly worth checking out, basically its a tale of how far will we go to change something we believe is wrong, and would we go too far? The blu-ray quality is pretty good, and there are a couple of good features to watch too.

 Very Edgy Revenge Movie.

Was a bit sceptical going when going to watch this as a lot of people compared it to Liam Neesons Taken, and I did not like that movie.
But I found this to be much better, Better Story, Better Acting and Better Action.
I was pretty much on the edge of my seat all the way through.
The acting is spot on, Gerard Butler is Perfect in his role and Jamie Foxx does a good job in his role.

 Outstanding entertainment!

An excellent film - I was engrossed from the very beginning! Both my bf and I were guessing at every turn as to how Clyde was completing his plans. Gerard Butler's performance was outstanding and I recommend this film to everyone. I didn't give the film a five star rating as I was a tad disappointed with the ending although that doesn't take anything away from the film and it is just a personal opinion. :-)

This is a good film! Basic storyline is good, man seeks revenge against attackers who raid his house, things start happening, people start dying but how can it be him as he's in solitary confinement in jail?

The twists and turns in this will keep you hooked! I usually get bored with a film and watch in a couple of sittings, no way with this =] I had to watch it through.

Only 4 stars as the ending may leave a few of you wanting more. But all in all, don't let that put you off. Well worth watching!
