I hate to say this because im a big horror fan and love low budget horror and absolutely loved the original 2001 maniacs, but this sequel has so many problems! The cast was great I have no problems there, Bill Mosley did a great job from taking Robert Englunds place (not as cool as Englund but good) and the rest of the cast where good (but not the acting) Lots of lovely ladies and lots of major boobage, the gore was good but not great, it felt like it was cut in allot of places, the comedy was too silly in places and the whole feel of the movie over all was very messy!! You wont be as satisfied by the end as you was with the original, the movie was almost an 86 min bore. Plus the worst thing over all was the audio, its terrible and makes the film twice as bad to watch. The 5.1 was so loud it was like the film was dubbed, and the normal stereo audio was too quiet but slightly better, but either way its terrible.

 Calling all gore-hounds!

Awesome film, the screening at Sheffield Showroom went down really well. It was really nice to meet Tim Sullivan too - it's great to meet someone who cares about the films they make rather than just churning out all the usual Hollywood dross. Brilliant guy! And I shall definitely be expecting him to bring Jezebel with him if he comes over to see us again. Cheers Tim!

It was a shame that Robert Englund wasn't involved, but Bill Moseley more than made up for it, as did the rest of the cast. Lin Shaye in was a highlight, she is clearly mental (in a good way) both on and off camera. I was particularly glad to see Ogre sans mask - that guy's hot!

So, to summarise, not for the faint hearted or easily offended, but loads of fun (not for all the family!).

What was going on with the soundtrack?

had been looking forward for a long time to watching this sequel. Although it had everything I was expecting and wanting. Gore, blood, guts, laughs and wanton nudity. Why was I left disappointed by this film? First off the comedy aspect of the film seems really pushed at times. The cast seem to be trying to hard at being funny. But the biggest disappointment for me was the sound. Seriously what the hell was going on with the sound track? It sounded awful, it truly sounds like the whole thing has been re-dubbed? I was so put off by the sound that I was focussed on the crap sound rather the action on the screen. I must admit that on Blu-Ray the film looked stunning. Watching Christa Campbell in full 1080p is a real treat. One thing that I enjoyed about the first film was the creative ways that the hillbillies killed off the northerners. So I was very disappointed that there is only one really extreme death in this. I thought Bill Moseley did a fine job taking over as Mayor Buckman and Lin Shaye is hilarious as Granny. But this sequel could have been so much better. Oh and did I mention that the sound was awful?

 Disappointing

Was looking forward to watching this as I'm a big horror/gore fan but I just couldnt get to grips with it. As said below, the movie is all over the place. If you do want to watch this movie, get it on DVD and save a few quid.
