David Fincher's The Social Network is the stunning tale of a new breed of cultural insurgent: a punk genius who sparked a revolution and changed the face of human interaction for a generation, and perhaps forever. Shot through with emotional brutality and unexpected humour, this superbly crafted film chronicles the formation of Facebook and the battles over ownership that followed upon the website's unfathomable success.

With a complex, incisive screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and a brilliant cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake, The Social Network bears witness to the birth of an idea that rewove the fabric of society even as it unravelled the friendship of its creators.

Well well well. Facebook the movie... Apprehensive i was... but for completely no reason at all.
This really is one of the best movies of the year. Brilliantly put together with some great acting. It certainly gives you the whole perspective on one of the biggest revolutions that have happened this decade!
I must say this is very informative, interesting and somewhat substantially mind blowing. Mark zukerberg i have to say is an outstanding bloke. 10's of thousands of lines of coding. Now thats some complex stuff.
If you want a good film... an enjoyable one at that. Then i would recommend this. 4/5

When I first heard about this, I was a bit apprehensive, as it sounded very gimmicky.
But I reserved my judgement based on the Writer and the Director, as their track record didnt indicate they would cash in.
The Facebook movie as it turns out is Much Better Than It Should Be.
Thanks to the tightly plotted script by the West Wing Creator Aaron Sorkin, sharp Direction from David Fincher, director of Se7en, Fight Club and Zodiac.
And all round Excellent acting, especially by Jesse Eisenberg.
Unlike some of Reviews in the Media im not saying its a classic by any means, but it is a very enjoyable, intelligent and intriguing watch.

A truly amazing film. The story of creation, friendship, enemies and essentially a war, all centred around the most popular thing on this planet right now, Facebook. After the wonders that where Se7en, Zodiac, Fight Club, Ben Button, and Panic Room, David Fincher does not disappoint, in a film that keeps you entertained the whole way through. While some may see it as an acquired taste, give it a try its brilliant. It also has great performances, from the wonderfully awkward, Jesse Eisenberg, the underrated, and future Spiderman, Andrew Garfield, and a fantastic scene stealing performance from the future Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara. All this is complimented by Aaron Sorkin's amazing Oscar-winning script, and the also Oscar-winning score, from Mr. Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross. And of course the wonderful, Oscar robbed direction from the God that is David Fincher.

The Social Network is quite simply a brilliant film, the one thing I took away from it was how motivational and inspiring it is. Jesse Esinbergs portrayel of Zuckerburg is excellent as well as Garfield and Timberlake to whom are great in this. This film makes you want to do something creative with your life it's more than just a movie its a film that tells you that you can have be or do anything that you choose, this is an awesome film and you should make a purchase right now!

The Social Network (2010) is a real life drama starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Rooney Mara, and Armie Hammer.

This really is a terrific movie with Jesse Eisenberg giving a wonderful performance as Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg. Eisenbergs character is arrogant and difficult but somehow you find yourself rooting for him.

The rest of the cast are very good too. New Spiderman Andrew Garfield plays very well off of Eisenberg while Armie Hammer deserves a special mention for convincingly playing identical twins.

Director David Fincher (Fight Club) does a masterful job even though he holds back on his usual extravagant visual style. The real strength of this movie though comes from writer Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing) whose sharp script is funny, dramatic and exciting.
