  Twilight went darker...

Summary: As a string of mysterious killings grips Seattle, Bella, whose high school graduation is fast approaching, is forced to choose between her love for vampire Edward and her friendship with werewolf Jacob.

I'm glad they got David Slade to direct "Eclipse". He did films like "Hard Candy" and "30 Days of NIght" so you knew before it came out that he would try and push the 12 rating in the Twilight universe to it's limit, and he did. I'm glad this vampire franchise was finally cranked up a gear. It makes it the best in the series so far for me.

Better Then New Moon But Still Boring.

Eclipse (2010) is the third movie in the Twilight franchise and its stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone and Bryce Dallas Howard.

This movie has more action then the previous one New Moon and the there are some nice moments for the supporting cast as both Jasper and Rosalie get a backstory.

The biggest problem with this movie is that once again it spends too much time telling some soppy romance as Bella tries to choose between Edward or Jacob.

Director David Slade (30 Days Of Night) fails to bring the dark edge which he displayed in his previous movies. The CG-Animated wolves look fake still and the fighting scenes never feel dangerous or exciting.

Eclipse is better then New Moon but once again the soppy romance side of this movie has spoiled what could have been quite an exciting vampire movie.

I've now seen the trilogy and can say that the first one was OK, the second was poor and this one was a waste of two and a half hours of my life. One 10 minute "fight" scene between werewolves and vampires which is good. Apart from that nothing ever seems to happen in the rest of the movie....Its amazing that over 6 hours can be spent on the relationship between 3 people......Unless you're an avid Twilight fan, don't waste your money on this drivel.

  better then the first two

This film is better then the first as they are pretty awful. Again this film goes on about the love triangle between Edward, Jacob and Bella. It still grinds you down as you watch it though. Watching the trailor makes it look like there is a big battle between the new borns, the culans and the wolves. But in the end it is over in about 10-15 minutes. I wouldnt pay to watch this film as i was lucky enough to see it on the plane when i was going on holiday. Do avoid paying good money for this and look elsewhere.

If you love the other movies, you will love this one. It is easily the best so far.

  Complete rubbish!

I have suffered all three of these films, and although this one does have more action to me it is still as bad as the other 2. Between dodgy wolf effects and the two leads staring doe eyed at each other I was completly bored to tears. If you want a real vampire film I suggest you watch the Lost Boys or 30 Days Of Night.

Maybe the best Twilight film yet!

Eclipse restores my faith in the Twilight saga after being slightly disappointed with the New Moon film. Love rivals Edward and Jacob have to join forces in order to protect Bella from a new breed of vampires. The action has at last peaked up a little and the whole of the cast are really sinking their teeth into this great saga. I found with the film "New Moon" that most of the best parts were all shown in the trailer but I guess it was the weaker book too. Eclipse has alot more humour then the other two films and you are left wanting more when the credits roll up. I know from reading the books that things are going to really hot up in the next film "Breaking Dawn!"

  'THAT'S BETTER'

well, there is a lot more action in 'eclipse' than in the previous films in the series, it is also turning 'darker'
'bella' wooed by 'edward' and 'jacob' as 'victoria' leads an assault on the 'cullens' who in turn are determined to protect 'bella' and their domain.
the next film in the series 'breaking dawn' should resolve the outstanding issues, though as it is a two part offering the best should be the second part as the 'cullen' klan are joined by others to tackle the invading 'vampire' army.
