The story is set in the famous lawless town of Tombstone, Arizona, at a time when all the worst desperados in the territory gather forces into an outlaw gang ironically called The Cowboys.

The Cowboys number some of the fastest guns and worst reputations in the West. But one day famed lawman Wyatt Earp comes to town with his brothers and their wives, looking for a peaceful place to settle down. But the marauding cowboys make it difficult for anyone to stay out of their way.

Soon Earp's brothers and his old friend Doc Holliday are taking oaths as lawmen. Earp is drawn, against his will, into a spectacular showdown and shoot out with the Cowboys at the OK Corral. But that's not the end of the story; not all of the Cowboys were killed in the gunfight, and Earp finds himself and his family threatened by the outlaws.

When his brother Morgan is killed, Earp finally takes the oath as a U.S. Marshal, deputizes some renegade outlaws, and sets out to clean up the town of Tombstone once and for all...

 Amazing Transfer!

One of my all time favourite films, Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday are outstanding. I wasn't sure about how good the transfer to Blu-ray on a film that is nearly 20 years old would be, However I was very impressed no grain and the sound is incredible! A must have in any blu-ray collection!

there have down the years been many films that tell the tale of the 'gunfight' at the 'o.k' coral as it's theme.
in my opinion 'this one' ...'kevin costner's' --'wyatt earp' and the 'kirk douglas' and 'burt lancaster's ( screen-legends ) --'gunfight at the 'o.k' coral' are all worth owning and i believe are the best of the bunch, each giving you a slightly different slant on the story.
in this the performances by 'kurt russell' ( as wyatt ) and 'val kimer' ( as 'doc holiday' ) are both among the best roles i've seen either play.
of course the story takes you beyond the infamous gunfight and includes the injury to one brother -'virgil' and the death of another ' morgan' both from a cowardly attack by members of the gang known as 'the cowboy's'
'wyatt' with 'doc' and a couple of 'guns' that had turned their back on the 'gang' set out to clear the county of the lawless gang.
this is a great story with plenty of action, a must for 'western' fans.

 very good

very hollywood and probably littered with mistakes, i still love it. if we take a step back from serious and factual film making and just go for no holes barred entertainment then this is an awesome film. highly recommended.

Probably Not A True Telling But What A Slick Flick

Ok so maybe It's not too close to the truth but without a doubt this is the best telling of the tale of the OK Coral and beyond full of memorable performances and one liners as Doc Holliday says 'Im Your Huckleberry'

Good film and a good transfer to Blu-Ray

I brought this and was a little unsure how it would look in HD. I was taken aback by it's bright colours and soundtrack. If you like the film this is a BIG must on Blu-Ray even more so if your a western fan!
