Right lets set this out from the start, this is a bloke writing this review. This movie is about a girl and a frog, you'd expect typical Disney sacharine soaked sparkles!. Nope! this film has a good storyline with good music and good characters, none of which are overly soaked in disney sweetness. Sat and watched this with my Wife, My 8 year old son and my 5 year old daughter expecting my daughter to be the only one to like it. Surprisingly enough we all thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The animation is beautiful, the music is foot tapping and overall i think its probably one of disneys best for year. We have since watched it around 4 time.

Note to Dads out there- Buy this for your kids and you will be able to watch it too without getting bored.

Highly recommended to everyone.

We went to see this as a family when it was on at the cinema and i must say this is a superb Disney classic.
The story is great fun the animation is crisp and clean and the songs are brilliant and it feels more like the fantastic 90s Disney animations rather than some of the more lacklusture classics of recent years.
It is family friendly fun and there really is something for everyone to like here the younger kids will enjoy the songs and animation and the bigger kids will enjoy the gags i know i did.
A great film for the entire family we have watched this a few times now and the Blu-Ray quality is superb the picture is so crisp and clear i would highly recomended this release for anyone.

Fantastic animated movie, thoroughly enjoyable. Also has some great songs in the film which reminds me of Disney at its best (Aladdin, Lion King etc).

Classic Disney tale wonderfully told on a sublime blu-ray

Tiana has a dream to open an elusive restaurant with great food and service spurred on by her late father's hard work and triple shift rota...As she is a waitress in two jobs working hard and putting away her savings her dream is smashed when two local entrepreneurs refuse her offer of rental of an old warehouse to convert to a restaurant.Amidst hugh disappointment Tiana wishes on a star for her dream restaurant that she too has worked so hard for......only to be met by a frog (a talking frog at that) as her life changes dramatically in this wonderous adventure....With the fantastic animation, inspirational music and incredible characters such as The shadow man ,Mama Odie and a cute little lightning bug Raymond who steals the show you will be enchanted and amazed by this Disney Masterpiece that has to be the best Disney to hit blu-ray in storyline for quite some time....A Disney truely to be amazed at that comes as a must buy for any true Disney fan or even those who are not....Very Highly Recommended

Watched this with my wife and 3 year old whilst in the Disney World resort, the perfect setting. The film is colourful, great music, lovely re-telling of the classic story. Nice to see the old style animation too, as good as CGI is, nice to see Disney old style.

  Best Disney in Years

I brought the imported version of this [as i couldn't wait] Its easily the best film Disney have done [Not counting Disney/Pixar] since Mulan

I admit it didn't really grab me on 1st watch, but then when you watch it again you realise how cleverly done a lot of it is [Avoiding the usual Disney Cliches]
