Do not forget though that in the book Ron is trying to destroy the horcrux and in the process the horcrux shows him a picture of harry and hermione kissing etc. the same thing applies with the film the only difference is they are naked but i think that gives us imagination as to what lengths the horcrux will do to prevent itself being destroyed?

By the way this film is one of the best.

this is awful and boring, the blu ray version is basically watching a black screen for 2:30 hours, to much hype and not enough action. pointless splitting it in to two, cause all the scene are dragged out to film the 5 hours time frame overall.

why bother, i can spend a much more spellbinding evening with some fairy lights and a torch

yet again, another harry potter film that 'is darker than the previous films', and yet, for me, it just dragged on and on. for me, Daniel Radcliffe and emma watson are over-rated,terrible actors, with rupert grint the only saving grace. i really didnt care for any of them. basically, surely teenagers with wands. the first few films were ok, and entertaining, but, like the books, now try to take themselves too seriously,and be something they are not.

This film tries to be so much more than it is and struggles to engage throughout. Being just the first half of the book the film has a slow pace and of course creates no climax. No one goes to see a film for the beggining so it shouldn't be a surprise that this film isn't so good and hopefully part 2 will be an improvement (it would struggle not to be). The fact that when reviewing this film you have to highlight that part 2 should be better is a sign that this film cannot be seen as a good standalone movie and i feel that when your charging people to see 2 parts to one film both parts should be as equally good and worth the money. Sadly i feel this film doesnt impress and infact highlights the crucial flaw in all harry potter films, the acting. As the title suggests this film is highly overrated but still does what it needs to set up part 2 unfortunately thats all it is a set up for a better film.

Having just watched this on Blu Ray I gotta say I thought it was an excellent film - the series has grown up with its viewers and I had no issues with it being too dark to see at all, the world they are in seems more devoid of the happiness in the earlier films so I think the producers have tried to show this with the tones and colours used, a lot of familiar places and faces look visibly older and worn as they prepare for the final showdown.....
I personally felt the story progressed at a decent pace and I am definately looking forward to the next instalment, I would say worth a watch/rent if not a fan and if you are a fan just buy it, its good and Blu Ray and 5.1 sound quality are excellent.
