Pirates Of The Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides - Double Play (Blu-ray)

I though this would seem a little empty without the characters of Elizabeth and Will,but i would say it isn't. There are new charcters to enjoy,they add something to it in my view. The story is quite basic,searching for the fountain of youth,but it does what it has to to entertain.
Depp is on top form,there's loads of jokes,some obvious,some subtle,visual and verbal,plenty enough to keep it running smoothly.
The fights and stunts are brilliantly done,great visuals and the mermaids are a really nice touch.
I really have no problem with this,even lacking some original charachters,it still works well,some saying it's the best sequel of the lot and i see where they're coming from,highly entertaining.
Of course some won't enjoy it,but i loved it,bring on the fith.

It has taken me a while to get around to watching this film, i loved the first 3 but was a little put out that a fourth was to be made.
Firstly the sound and picture quality is superb, as is the norm with any Disney blu ray. Also a nice selection of extras and the bonus of a dvd copy aswell makes it a nice set but i cannot shake the feeling of this being just a cash in by the studios to make a ton of money.
Dont forget to watch the small scene after the end credits that no doubt sets up part 5...AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

after the first movie, these have got steadily worse, with this being bottom of the pile. really mind-numbingly poor. please dont make any more of these. ever.

I Loved this one in the cinema, graphics were awsome! cant wait 4 it to arrive!! johnny depp was brill as always! x

The acting was below par,the script was pretty awful just like number 3.If you want to be bored out of your skull,then buy this film.

the first of the 'pirate' films was allways gonna be a hard act to follow. and in truth has never been matched by the three that have followed, however 'johnny depp's' role as 'captain jack sparrow' remains the focus of the humour that has carried on throughout.
in this film --the race is on to find the legendary 'fountain of youth'
with the ''evil'' mermaids in waiting the film delivers much tongue in cheek action and humour.........it's great family entertainment as allways.

After getting rid of bloomy and keira knightley the saga is back to its best with Jack Sparrow being immense!

I love the first three Pirates movies - and when I had the chance to see all 4 in a marathon I jumped at the occasion! It was really great seeing the movies on the big screen again, but I was really dissapointed with the fourth movie... The priest annoyed me like crazy and when he finally went out of the picture, I remember thinking - "who cares!" There just didn't seem any point in him being there...

I've always loved Jack Sparrow, and I really think he can carry the movie on himself, but it bothered me, that he was so protective of Angelica... He's supposed to care about himself and just himself! As glad as I was to get rid of Elizabeth and Will - I found myself missing the tension between the three of them...

I'm giving this 2 stars - one for Ian McShane, who is amazing as Blackbeard (and everything else he does!) and one for Johnny Depp - because if you left out Penelope Cruz, he's still Jack Sparrow...
But I will not be buying this movie - it simply didn't leave me with the "WOW" effect that Thor did....

Please do not waste your money, time and effort on this dreadful, pointless, addition to an already shaky trilogy of movies designed purely to milk as much money from people as possible while giving very little true entertainment in return. Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!

fantastic return to form for the film, offers fun action and great comic moments, great film for the whole family.
