V is a re-imagining of the 1980's miniseries about the world's first encounter with an alien race. Simultaneously appearing over every major city in the world, the Visitors (or V's) promote a message of peace. Through their generous offer to share advanced technology, the V's build a following that may actually hide a more malevolent agenda, one that twists a very deep component of human nature: devotion.

V stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols, Joel Gretsch as Father Jack, Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie, Logan Huffman as Tyler, Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, with Morena Baccarin as Anna and Scott Wolf as Chad Decker.

Really well executed remake of a classic sci-fi show

I caught the pilot episode for this show when sky did their free weekend pass, and i'm very glad i did, this remake of the cult sci fi show is a huge improvement. First rate special effects and brilliant actors make this a pleasure and a joy to watch. Although the pilot did seem rushed and as though they were trying to fit a lot in this did not detract from the storyline and overall plot of the show.
ELizabeth mitchell (juliet from LOST) does very well as an FBI agent trying her best to figure out the intentions of the sinister visitors, along with a select few who try to help her. I have seen previews for the rest of teh season and i think it looks very exciting and thoroughly entertaining.
Brilliant remake with top class acting and hollywood style special effects.

Whilst paying a nice resemblance to the original series, this version of V is about to really become a force in its own right. With nicely developed characters and modern day TV pacing, this familar storyline has had a breath of fresh air injected into it. Each episode leaves you wanting to know more meaning you actually do want to tune into the next episode.
This is one series that will now continue to develop and go on its own course allowing new characters and situations to be introduced.
Glossy and visual, V- series 1 (2010) is very highly recommended.

When I was in the US, I watched the whole of this series, it's just great !!! with keeping with the 70's version. This up-dated version is worth every penny. Shown on the ABC nework in the US in HD, they gave it top TV Slot, which goes to prove how good this is. I give it 10/10. Get It It's Great. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Shame

Excellent programme that was inexplicably cancelled. Such a shame as it was a solid programme that kept getting better.
