I love The Vampire Diaries and have both seasons on DVD, I'm a massive fan and this is definitely my favourite series of all time, I just had to get them on Blu Ray too! AWESOME!!! Highly recommend!

This is definitely one of my favorite series of all time.
They without a doubt chose the right actors for the parts, especially Damon. Ian Somerhalder is perfect for the part. ;-)

Once you start watching this you won't be able to stop.

BluRay video quality: very grainy in darker places (gradiations?), but I've seen that on other BluRays too. So maybe that's a given?
Otherwise overall good quality.

This bluray has these subtitles: English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Latin Spanish, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish.

The Vampire Diaries is a Romantic Classy Series

This is actually a 4 disc blu-ray boxset and not a 3 disc as described. The Vampire Diaries will capture your imagination in a tale of intrigue , romance and suspence. It is a Top Drawer Series where Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev....phhhheeewwww) and her lady friends become fascinated by a new guy in town Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) who is smart good looking but no one seems to truely know where he comes from as he joins them at Mystic Falls High school. Elena keeps a diary of her life up till now and at 17 years old she has just lost her parents in a car accident of which she is the sole survivor. When the attraction of Stefan develops she learns that he too keeps a diary of his life events. It's not until Stefan's bad boy brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) hits town that things really get hot. Whilst Mystic Falls encounters a random amount of apparent animal attacks which are fatal a new breed of vampires have come to town with a love story entwined as Elena is hauntingly identical to Catherine an 1864 girlfriend of both Stefan and Damon Mystic Falls is just about to become food for thought....The Blu-ray is pin sharp during daylight scenes with no apparent grain or blemishes and at night-time the black level and depth of the image is generally very good with a small amount of fine grain in certain scenes. The Sound is more impressive than I thought with a few jumpy moments although it would have been nice if it had had a DTS lossless track. Extremely entertaining addictive 5 star entertainment . Very Highly Recommended

Okay, being 30 and a guy, I have to admit I cannot understand or believe that I like this. In fact, I love this show. It's sexy, smart, enticing and has some brilliant characters. Kevin Williamson has done a great job to bring this series to life and what a wonderful cast. Ian Somerhalder is awesome as Damon and Nina Dobrev is fantastic as both the innocent yet fiesty Elena and the gorgeously evil Katherine. Add Bonnie, Caroline, Stefan (of course) and even Tyler to the mix and you've got a great show. However, Anna we miss you already. Bring on Season 2.

OK! To be honest I am very picky when it comes to shows like this. I did not think for one minute that I would enjoy this series. I was wrong and I admit it. I would only buy DVD or Blu Ray sets that I would be comfortable and happy to watch over and over again and this series ticks the boxes. I am lucky enough to have seen up to episode 21 and I have thoroughly enjoyed every show. Ian Somerhalder plays the part of Damon so well and you will enjoy his twisted mentality throughout. Full of twists and turns. However, if you have read the books and not seen the show, be warned, they are totally different animals, so to speak. Thoroughly enjoyable show from start to finish. Can't wait for the Blu Ray to be released.
