Initial release has voice sync issues after chapter 15.

Paramount & Technicolor have initiated recall & replacement system.
Call 08000-852-613 ( technicolor UK - ).

 Not good blu-ray material

Saving Private Ryan is one of my all time favorite movies, but as a blu-ray release it fails to deliver. The reason is of course director Spielberg and cinematographer Kaminskis artistic choices.

The picture is constantly dark, grainy and bleak with washed out colors to give the movie a realistic war atmosphere. Unfortunately these factors leave you with the feeling of watching a standard dvd release.

A true classic movie but not made for the classic blu-ray moments.

Kristiansen, Blu-ray isnt about making a picture as clean as possible with DNR, its about giving you the BEST presentation of the movie as intended by the makers. Aka Saving Private Ryan on BD, which look grainy, as it is SUPPOSED to look.....

The video quality on private ryan is grainy at times(much like black hawk down)this is how these films are meant to look in order to add realism to the war scenes so that doesn't bother me but the real winner is the audio and the dts hd master soundtrack on a home cinema system will have the neighbours ducking for cover.

Along with Black Hawk Down this is one of the greatest war films ever. The opening scenes were amazing and this film just gets better everytime i watch it. A timeless classic. Great conversion to blu-ray as the sound really captures the action sequences in the film. Awesome
