This is a great bluray but the vocals were very unclear. A real shame as Bruce is a great performer.

  Best of the best!

Altough im really not the biggest Bruce Springsteen fan i must say this Blu ray convince me, it is very good.
The sound and picture are 5 out of 5, also the atmosphere of the consert is on of the best i`ve seen.
It contains a good mix of the older and new songs to.
I rate this Blu ray consert the best among my around 30 music blu ray discs!

Simply the best uplifting concert i have ever seen, even beating my favourite group u2 who i have seen on many occasions.

For his age this man is amazing and his voice is as good as its ever been, if you have not got it yet buy it, if you dont really like him buy it because he shows everyone how it should be done.

  Great concert, but...

No need to write about Springsteen as an artist as that is covered well by others here.

The reason I don`t give it 5 stars is the sound. This Blu-ray is increadibly enough not made witht a HD sound system and it is highly noticeable on my home cinema system. The sound is muddy and less dynamic than it should have been. Had it been in DTS-HD or Dolby True HD this concert would have been so much better. Picture quality is great and in HD of course, but why on earth did they not do the same for the sound?

Another thing I personally miss is bass. Maybe it`s the Springsteen "sound signature" but for me, something is missing in a rock concert if you can`t hear and feel the bass real good.

It`s too bad because Springsteen is so good and such a recent concert should have been made with only the best equipment. Just compare the sound to other Blu-ray concerts like that of Jeff Beck, Yes and The Police which all have vastly superior sound quality.

but as a long time fan of The Boss I guess you could call me biased.
That said ......

Put it on the biggest TV you can, through the best loudest system you can and turn it up !
It really does give the flavour of being there though nothing can quite match that feeling ,,,, this does come close and I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes live music

As stated before and evidenced by numerous previous reviews on Play, I am but only one of many million of Bruce's fans dotted all over the world. Therefore I find it impossible not to comment on anything new released by the great man. This is my first ever blu ray purchase and it was always going to be a safe bet!

I was due to go to this concert last year but had to sell my tickets due to a clash with holiday dates. I regretted it then and after seeing this performance it pains me even more now!! At least I saw him in Glasgow 16 days later but I would loved to be in the crowd for this one!!

The man is unbelievable, his musical talent, energy, lyricsand storytelling abilities puts so many artists, more than half his age to shame!! Backed up by the magnificent E-Street Band you get your money's worth and them some!!

As usual you get a great selection from his back catalogue to the latest offering of his brilliance. His music transcends the decades and it is still more than relevant as evidenced by the younger faces in the crowd.

His choice of song selection is and are brilliant and t stilI takes me back to the young teenager I once was, singing along in my bedroom back in the eighties! Bobby Jean, No Surrender, Racing in the Street, Seeds, Johnny 99 etc etc. Loads of fav moments on this disc but Rosalita (come out tonight) is superb and Jungleland sums up everything about the man and the band.

Imagine a musical world without Bruce Springsteen? It sends a shiver down my spine!!! If you have any musical taste in you, even if its just a sliver then Bruce has to be in your music or dvd/blu ray collection!! I make no apolgies for yet another glowing recommendation of Bruce Springsteen, he just has it "goin on"!!

In addition he still looks so remarkably young for 60 years and his energy is astonishing!! It gives us all hope!! Here endeth the lesson folks.

Ok Bruce, I don't know about you but I am ready for the next instalment and I don't think I will be the only one...............

A biased review of a genuinely awesome concert.

I was among the 50,000 strong crowd for this concert; my third Springsteen gig. It is undoubtedly the best one I have been to. As you can see from the track list, the setlist encompasses material from Springsteens entire career including 'Racing In The Street' (played at sunset) which was essentially a spiritual moment (for myself at least.) The extras include a beautiful and mesmerising live verison of 'The River' from Springsteen's Glastonbury set and the music video for 'Wrecking Ball.'

The band themselves are a true wonder to watch. Getting to watch Springsteen call for songs on the spot is also quite something. You can see they all love doing what they do and that really transcends to the viewer. It is just a fun concert to watch and better than any feel good movie.

The Blu Ray looks extremely clear (the only problems being with the actual filming as some of the shots are a little shaky, although this in no way detracts from your viewing pleasure.)

If you are a fan of Springsteen but not sure whether to get it, my advice would be to get it and enjoy a rare full concert experience from The Boss in the comfort of your own home. If you are new to Springsteen then follow the advice given above. You won't be sorry.

  London Calling the Boss!

| | See all Kevin1075's reviews (754)

I was supposed to have been at this (which I've just realised was almost a year ago today as I type this!) in Hyde Park and was in London for it - however, due to basically being conned by online ticketers we had to settle for just being in London and around Hyde Park and just hearing sounds emanate from the London Calling venue instead!

It wasn't all bad - I had genuine tickets to his Hampden Show in Glasgow that July and saw him then!!

Anyway, I'm so glad this has come out to buy so that I can finally see the full show from start to finish! Bruce is a total class act, with what seems like boundless energy and enthusiasm and the E Street Band have got everything working for them as they play a great set of tracks from start to finish!

Great addition to the collection! A must-buy for fans and something that can be watched over and over!

Fantastic show, fantastic artist. Great concert with all his and the band's usuall full-throttle passion and effort. One of the best concert's caught on film that you can buy. Brilliant mix of new and old songs with the must-have classics too. As he says "get me an elavater, i'm nearly 60!" but he has lost none of his energy, showmanship, commitment or talent. Long live The Boss and lets hope there are many more shows like this one!
