From the poor packaging that gives you no CLUE as to the episode details..to the one expression from Cumberpatch of zoned out edness
this is just nonsense..Mark Gatiss who is co writer and co star is capable of far better work than this..but in each interview seems as happy as a cat that's got the cream. In a few years people will look back and say what was all the fuss about.Elementary with Lucy Lui and Miller is a far more up to date radical rethink.but as it's American frowned upon..for now.

Sherlock is the best modern adaptation of the famous detective the first series is fantastic and the second series is just as good if not better the picture and sound quality are amazing the only floor is the lack of special features but that's to be expected with a BBC blu ray other than that its a fantastic blu ray

Finally the BBC has made something worth wild to watch, truly the best show on terrestrial tv at the moment. Can't wait to buy the 2nd dvd and hopefully a 3rd series will be out this year.

Fantastic tv series which see sherlock and watson in the modern day. Great twist throughout the stories with great acting. Shame only a few was made and cant wait for the next installment. And hopefully sherlock will be up against his arch nemisis again.

Even if your're not a fan of sherlock holmes you will still love this. It's very funny and very cleverly done, Sherlock has skills similar to the mentalist and is very clever. Sherlock and Watson work brilliantly together and are so funny. I am definately going to buy this. Well done and I hope there's more to come.

SHERLOCK HOMES and DOCTOR JOHN WATSON are back, but this time it's out of the fog and into the bright 21st centrey street of London.

Writen by Steven Moffat head show runner now of Doctor Who and Mark Gatiss who also stars as SHERLOCK'S BROTHER MYCROFT HOMES who SHERLOCK dislikes.

All the players are back as well, SHERLOCK is still and great dectective, still friendless and lone, played great by Benedict Cumverbatch,

Martin Freeman Plays Doctor John Watson, who at the start of the first episode has just returned from Afghanistan alone and friendless when he come across HOMES.

Inspector LestradeI in this series is played by Rupert Graves who turns to SHERLOCK for help when he and his team need it.

and how can I finsh this review by not saying anything about Jim Moriarty, his is felt across the 3 episode series being the mastermind behind the crimes that SHERLOCK has to slove.
He is shown as the filp coin side of HOMES by being a "Consulting Criminal" to Holmes's Consulting Detective. In this series he is played by Andrew Scott.

All I can say is that if you have not seen the series yet DO, im glad that a 2nd run has been green lighted as any who has watched the 3rd and final episode of this series will know it ends on a great cliffhanger. 5 stars out of 5 stars - 10 out of 10

Clever, witty, engaging, challenging and above all true to the ideas and stories of the original Holmes. I cannot recommend this highly enough...roll on the next series!

Finally, a real tribute to Doyles classic!

Sherlock Holmes set in contemporary London and done with style, imagination and one damn good music score. Not since his days writing Press Gang has Stephen Moffat delivered such inspired TV scripts. Everything about this production screams excellence from the performances to the diabolical scenarios and deductive solutions. Worthy of an eagerly waited second season by a mile!

  Just Brilliant!

I was pleasantly surprised with just how good this was! Everything from the script writing, to the directing, and superb acting from both Cumberbatch and Freeman. This really is fantastic! Well done BBC!
