I will admit, I didn't watch this when it was shown, I am so used to watching war tv programmes or shows that follow the same, usual formats, I mistakingly thought that it would be the same as all the others.
Yet, how wrong was I? Very! This is literally a journey. The writing and directorship of this is unique in that you literally feel you're a part of it. You get so close to the characters, feeling like you're involved in their journey. You laugh when they laugh and you feel an ache when you know, at the back of your mind, this is based on real and true events.
The courage and the bravery of soldiers in this war was something that many modern day people can't imagine.
Tne picture and sound quality on this set does the acting and storyline so much justice.
I honestly feel this is something everyone should watch. Just to have an understanding of some things others went through. And if the ending of the series doesn't make you teary eyed, then nothing ever will!
Does anyone knows if there are other languages? Only english??

I've just bought BOB Blu-ray and I'm glad I made this purchase. Fantastic blu-ray set. Additional languages (FR,ES) and subtitles (EN,FR,ES,PT-BR) came as expected.
I've bought this excellent item but unfortunately the spanish language is latin american and not castillian. It's always difficult to difference it if you are not from Spain but, of course, it is a different language.
Oh, the French track is Canadian French, not Parisien, so I hope that this package comes from the USA (because it includes both languages).
