Having watched the film on an IMAX, i thought WOW best movie ever. I then seen this limited edition set and have just bought it, however my question is, is the film in blue ray? or is it just the extras that are in Blue Ray ?

I have to say that I don't think that Inception is an AMAZING movie but it's a movie that I can say that I can watch. It's not bad but I do think that there has been too much hype around it.
The Blu ray is fantastic. The extras are short but packed with alot of information. I have to say that I loved watching Inception in Extraction Mode. It is so well done on the Blu ray and is a great feature.
And how can I forget to mention the box set. It really is a cool piece to have in your collection so, 10/10 for that!!

  A masterstroke from Chris Nolan

Inception is in my mind the greatest film of the last 10 years. And will no doubt be a landmark in the world of sci-fi and modern cinema. It's a must-see movie and everyone should at least give it a watch while avoiding any critique or review on it.

My 3 stars refer to the Limited Edition Case itself. The case itself is very sleek, matt silver finished and has a soft fabric interior lining where the film box, replica spinning top and booklet sit. The inclusion of the guide to using shared-dreamspace device is a nice touch, and the art cards are a good commemorative piece. However my gripe is with the copies you receive in the set. A blu-ray feature, a blu-ray special features and a dvd containing a digital copy.

I bought this set as it was a limited edition. But I do not own a blu-ray player. So I was very disheartened to learn upon the unboxing that the dvd copy does not contain ANY special features whatsoever. I feel a bit cheated out for something I paid nearly 30 pounds for. And also had to wait nearly ten days for after pre-ordering. They could've included SOME special features or deleted scenes on the dvd, or at least showed in the description when I ordered that only the blu-ray has them.

Just goes to show that sometimes you don't get more bang for your buck.

All whims aside. Inception.... Very clever, very intriguing, very original. Brilliance.

Film: 5 Stars
Box Set: 3 Stars

  A Masterpiece

The Limited Edition of Inception is a real collector's item, its quite a snazzy bit of gear. The spinning top and art cards are a nice touch and the case is great! The Blu-Ray itself has excellent picture and sound quality. The film is incredible, it deserves to be seen in HD!
Buy it... NOW!
Would be a great christmas present.

  An Inception for Films

Whoever is reading this knows what Inception is and is probably wanting to buy the film, if they want to read a review then best go to Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB, but I'm here to tell you about "Inception: Limited Edition - Triple Play (Blu-ray & DVD & Digital Copy)".

It comes in a plastic case covering the metal briefcase that is bigger than the briefcase it's self obviously. The briefcase however is lighter than one would expect. Carved into the front is the title of the film and then under that is the clip which you undo to open the briefcase. In front of you after opening it is the Blu-ray box with a holographic slipcase. On the other side is the "Portable Automated Somnacin IntraVenous (PASIV) Device Instruction Manual MV-235A" which tells you how the fictional PASIV Device used in the film works, it's a nice tie-in book. If you take that out then under the book are five art cards that are about the size of a postcard. Two are posters from the film and the other three are stills from the film. Above that is a replica of Cobb's Totem as seen in the film. Underneath it says "INCEPTION" carved into the Totem. Next to the space where the Totem rests in the box are the numbers "528 491", a reference to the film of course. All of the contents are in a hard foam.

If you open up the Blu-Ray box you will see three discs. Two Blu-Rays and one DVD. There is a leaflet inside instructing how to get your version of the Inception Digital Copy. As with most Digital Copies they have an expiry date (05/12/2011, in a years time yesterday). The first disc (Blu-Ray) is disc 1 of 2. It is in black and white and has a birds eye view of a city but with "Inception" written in as if a building itself. The second disc is in colour and shows the Totem spinning on it's side. The third disc (DVD) is black and white too with nice relevent patterns on it.

Special Features (as copied from the back of the box):

Extraction Mode - Infiltrate the Movie's Imaginative Landscape to Learn How Christopher Nolan, Leonardo DeCaprio and the Cast and Crew Designed and Achieved the Film's Signature Moments

Dreams: Cinema of the Subconscious -Can the Dream World Be a Fully Functional Parallel Reality? Joeseph Gordon-Levitt and the Leading Scientists Take You to the Cutting Edge of Dream Research

Inception: The Cobol Job - Comic Prologue in Full Animation and Motion: See the Events That Led to the Beginning of the Movie.

5.1 Soundtrack Selections From Hans Zimmer's Versatile Score.

Main Feature
1080p High Definition (DVD standard definition for the third disc) 16x9 2.4:1 DTS-HD Master Audio: English 5.1 Dolby Digital: Castilian Spanish 5.1, English 5.1 Audio Descriptive Service.

English, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish

Special Features
May not be in High Definition. Audio & subtitles may vary.

Final note for people who don't own Blu-Ray players but are buying this boxset for the collector's items: the special features are on the second Blu-ray disc. The DVD disc contains just the film, no special features. So if you are a collector who wants the items as well as special features then I recommend buying this and the 2-Disc DVD edition.

Quite simply stunning and innovative film-making by Christopher Nolan. The best film this year by a country mile and deserves to win Best Picture and Best Director at the Oscars next year.

Outstanding movie. Just a quick question about the DVD itself. With this being a triple play, does this mean you get the bluray, DVD and digital copy or is it simply a three disc blu ray?

  Inception - Incredible

I went to the cinema to see this with my friends and what can I say. Must be the best film I have seen this year. One of the best films I have ever seen. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD.

This is a must see film. Had me confused for a while. I understood all the principles of it all but the intensity of the principles. Woah!!

Loved it!
