This is indeed a very nail biting thriller with some tense cringe worthy moments! And I would say this is a very believable scenario too! If you were stuck on the top of a ski lift for a week in the freezing snow and ice cold you would die no doubt and the film probes different aspects of what you might do to survive!! The film has a good cast and plays out very well, it starts out as a fun filled ski trip that turns into a night of horrors for each of them, the film has a great look and some painful moments and serves up a nice few genuine chills, Adam Green shows he can dish up good old fashioned gore in the hatchet films and good old fashioned tension in Frozen! Worth a watch for sure great film, quite refreshing and makes you think twice about wanting to get stuck anywhere!!

If you looking for an intelligent, suspense filled, adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, nerve shredding thrill ride - then AVOID this movie at all costs - you will be surely disappointed! The premise is simple enough, 2 guys & 1 girl trapped on a ski-lift. That's it! The script is awful & riddled with every cliche in the book. The Direction is ham fisted & the 'acting' so wooden & unconvincing, it made me cringe. there is no character development - you don't really care about these people - the 'action', when it comes is totally unrealistic & the SX are those of a very low-budget movie - even the snow storm looked fake - like it came from a machine. It takes well over 45 mins of its 90 mins runtime for anything remotely exciting to happen & when it does you just wanna laugh! I very rarely write scathing reviews, but this is a very deserving candidate for 'Turkey of the Year Award'. Its beyond my comprehension how anyone else could give this trash more than 2 stars...? Blu-ray PQ is ok - though black levels suffer consistantly. However the DTS HD MA is cool. If you love movies - give this one a MISS...

take no notice of that 1 star review, frozen was brilliant,i was a little concerned when it hit the shelves rather than go out on the big screen, i took the gamble and bought the blue ray, i was definately not let down, great idea, fantastic suspense and superbly directed, i dont think ive seen been so disturbed watching a film since maybe taxas chainsaw massacre, people who have seen this film will know which seen im refering to

it does have A CHILL FACTOR !

the film struggles to get going early on, however, when the three friends are abandoned part way up the ski slopes on a chair-lift it does start to become tense.
the film did put me in mind of 'OPEN WATER' where divers were left abandoned with little hope of rescue, both films do portray a intense feeling of helplessness coupled with the very real threat of predators, in 'open water' it was 'sharks' in this it's 'wolves'
the film does have a great deal of tension on board with a few 'cringe' moments.
well worth watching at least.

 Good little chiller

This is one of those low budget nasties that actually works really well. Three young skiiers find themselves stranded on a ski lift, dangling in the midst of a blizzard and on a mountain that has just been closed for the week. Prospects not looking too good. Green makes great use of his surprisingly claustrophic locale and then throws in some gruesome extras like ravenous wolves, broken tibulas and hands frozen onto metal bars to up the ante. It might wander a little towards the end, but mostly this is a lean, mean and tight little thriller.
