Tamer Hassan is a great actor especially when hes playing a nasty character like this! Great movie with a great cast, good story and plays out really well with getting to know the characters and the basic set up of their dodgy dealings and violent lifestyles! has a good level of bloody violence and humour (you cant help but laugh although it may not be meant to be funny) this is worth a watch if you like a good Brit flick, gangster, true story! There are some good features on the disc too for your money!

Bonded By Blood covers the same ground as 2000's Essex Boys and 2008's excellent Rise Of The Foot Soldier, but from a different perspective.
It charts the rise and fall of Essex Boys as they embark on drug running from the Europe across the south of England, along the way they set out dealing out justice and wipeing out any competitors. This all leads to the lack of trust between the organistion and that trip into the countryside one snowy December Night in 1995.
If you have not seen Rise of the Foot Soldier you will appreciate the story, but this films lacks the energy of Foot Soldier, and take no notice of what the blurb says on the cover as Bonded By Blood is not as violent, but probably manages to drop more "C" Bombs than it's nasty cousin.
Also the climax of the film takes the perspective of that the Police got the right men banged up, but Foot Soldier took the briliant idea of showing three different varients of who blasted them in their Range Rover that winters night.
In all it's a good gang land thriller, but it could have added something to the story that we did not already know.
The Blue Tooth transfer is crisp, but to be honest the film was made on a limited budget so the difference between this Hi-Def version and the cheaper DVD is minimal.

Rise of the Footsoldier rip off!

After reading and watching Rise of the footsoldier, I watched Bonded by blood expecting something different; however I was left feeling very disappointed!!
Most of the cast are the same as Rise of the footsoldier; however play different roles in this film??
The whole film is basically everybody swearing and snorting cocaine and fighting!!
I know that this is what the characters were supposed to be like in real life; however I felt the film over does it on this front.
If your interested in the "essex boys" murders, then read Rise of the Footsoldier and watch the film.
It's a much better portrayal from a different point of view.
Bonded by blood is watchable but really not a good film..Sorry!!
