  Very Good

My friend recommended this movie. I read the reviews and took the plunge. This was a very enjoyable movie, well acted, good story, exciting scenes. If you like bank and robbers style movies then you will like this. One review stated better than Heat. I wouldn't go as far as that but it sure does gives it a run for its money!!

If you like, Place Beyond The Pines, Inside Man, Heat then The Town is for you.

  Greek subs included

The movie is great and all if you re a fan of this kind. Realistic action nothing fancy like rambo style shootings.
Also has Greek subtitles which i didnt expect it to have.

  Well worth visiting

Trading up on the promise he showed as director with his first feature "Gone Baby Gone", Affleck delivers a barnstorming crime thriller that also showcases some great character acting. He plays a bank robber who gets involved with a hostage from one of his jobs, while the lure of his colleagues and an FBI manhunt threaten the one decent thing in his life. There's real confidence at work here - a car chase midway through is as good as anything you'll find in "Heat" - while the cast deliver in spades. Best is Renner as a tripwire psycho, unpredictable to the last.

  Very Good Crime Drama

The Ben Affleck Comeback continues in stunning fashion.
Heard good things about this movie from when it was released, so was really looking forward to it.
The film has a similar thing going on to Gone Baby Gone, as in all the cards are on the table at the halfway point, and then you are gripped as too what will happen next.
Very well acted by everyone, Jeremy Renner being the standout. John Hamm and Ben Affleck also both very good.
The direction by Affleck is calm, assured, and respectful to the viewer.
He knows the viewer has come to watch a tightly paced drama, and he doesn't rush things.
Becoming a really good director, so will be in line to watch his next directorial venture

I loved this film, thought it was really powerful. Ben Affleck is brilliant, really really good. I liked the love story and felt it ran alongside the drama really well.

  Its... good

Its a good film. Affleck is doing well in what he wants to achieve. However, I know some Bostonians who are not so fond of the portrayel of their city. Sidenote: Good aerial shots of the city and crisp colours throughout.

  Modern day Point Break!

basically a more realistic version of point break in a way. It has many diffferences obvioulsy that was just the first thing that came to mind when i watched the film.

It really is an amazing film though and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout Affleck was great in this and directed it very well. it is rare nowadays to find an action film which is fresh i feel but this is really one to watch!

When this film first came out, I wasn't really into watching it, to be honest. I was dragged to the Cinema just to watch it but after five minutes, I was really into the film. Ben Affleck is a genius of a director, and Rebecca Hall is outstanding in her performance which is a definite leap from her performance in Vicky Christina Barcelona, which was also outstanding. Blake Lively probably shocked everyone with her performance, expecting her to act the role of a prostitute with some difficulty though she blew me away with her acting. She wasn't perfect, but there's definitely some improvement to her tacky role in Gossip Girl - I was wrong when I thought she couldn't act. Overall, I think this is a great movie and a must-have to those who love fast-paced movies and a great storyline.

  Good but not perfect!

This is a good crime/thriller movie. I have some problems with Affleck direction and writing but overall it all comes together to make a good movie. The movie opens greatly and ends greatly. The heists are well done and there are likable characters. Here is my problem with this movie: the action is not full blown as you expect it to be in the likes of Heat. The story lends itself some great twists that not following the cliches of the genre. Now I wouldn't mind any of the problems with the choice of actors here if the action was done right. I believe in a balance between action and story. This is done quite rightly here but I believe with a different director this would have been a adrenalin-pumping film. Nonetheless enjoyable but not perfect.
