Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes...

The Simon Pegg and Nick Frost combination certainly does not get old, they belong together!! This movie is pure comedy gold from beginning to end with hilarity around every corner! The story is great, the supporting cast is brilliant, the jokes are spot on perfect, you really need to be a bit of a fan boy to appreciate some of them as there are a lot of lines that are geeky quotes from Star Wars, Aliens and a whole host of other sci-fi classics! The movie has a fresh originality too! The Alien Paul is brilliant and very well voiced by Seth Rogen a good choice for this part! Over all if you love a good funny comedy that also has a fun story then dont miss this!!!

After seeing the previews for this movie, I had hoped that it was really going to be good.... I wasn't that impressed after seeing it.
The best parts of the movie are already shown in the previews and the rest of the movie simple drags along. It's one of those movies not to see it on the big screen but wait to see it on a Dvd and be satisfied.

A CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE FUNNY KIND!

First we had the classic Shaun Of The Dead, then came the Excellent Hot Fuzz and now we get landed with PAUL.
If you liked the previous movies with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost you know what you'll get. This time the two give Sci-Fi a run for it's money with very funny results. After a cross country trip across America to a comic-con convention the two come across PAUL a stranded Alien ( Greylien) who they befriend and go on a cross country adventure hotly persued by the always great Jason bateman as the F.B.I agent. The film has so many sci-fi movie in jokes such as X-Files, Close Encounters and best of all Alien with a brilliant extended cameo from Sigourney Weaver. Credit to Seth Rogan who voices the alien Paul as although only a CGI character it blends perfectly and interacts with everything around it, as it get sstoned try's to get laid and as seen in the trailer dresses up as a cowboy!
The film is a riot of laughs and it's always good to see Pegg and Frost on screen together, but that's where a slight problem lies with the film as the movie treads too carefully on well worn ground and never tries anything new with the formula tested with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, there's nothing wrong with that and I guess if it's not broke then don't try to fix it. But it would have been nice to take the Cornetto trilogy in a slightly new direction.
Apart from that the film is a must see and if you are a fan of the two you'll love very minute.
See if you like.
Shaun Of The Dead.
Hot Fuzz.
Superbad.
Close Encounters of the Third kind.
E.T.
X-Files.
