The Walking Dead: Season 1 (2 Discs) (Blu-ray)

This truly is one of the greatest TV shows ever made, especially if your a big horror fan, we have longed for a TV show like this, great season 1 with 6 brilliant episodes, good story that uses a lot of brains as well as eats them!! The cast is perfect and very easy to get to like, the season is paced very well and adds some interesting cool new stuff and ideas to the zombie genre!! If you big into horror and zombie movies especially then this is right up your street with some of the most amazing gore effects and horrid looking zombie make-up designs ever!! Must own at any cost for horror fans! If the U.K version is the same as the U.S version then there is some amazing special features too for the money.

This series will put faith back in any horror fan who is sick to death of the living dead, due to being bombarded by thousands of cheap direct to DVD brain dead zombie films that have crawled onto the market due to the craze of anything animated and dead, that now seem to tarnish the reputations of the excellent ones.
Based on the Monocrome graphic novels this is an exceptional series that athough similar in set up to the opening of 28 days later spreads a bloody grizzly epic story of survival in the end of days.
With a high budget the show does not skimp on the blood and guts with some of the best rendered Zombies ever put to screen, but also with the six episodes is a very human story of betrail and sacrifice that has a emotional sucker punch.
Some complain that the first series was too short and I agree, but you have to look at the cost of the show and if it's going to be a hit, it's as if the studio was testing the water for a fan base. The good news is the show was lapped up buy fans of anything that is dead and walking and a longer second series has got the green light, so the dead wil rise again soon.
This is some of the best horror Tv can offer and one of the best human survival drama's that just so happens to include Zombies ever to be put to the screen.

An absolute must see!!! The best tv show of 2010 and a second season was given the green light after the pilot episode aired - helmed by the director of the green mile this is a zombie epic that we have all been waiting for - based on a comic it comes to the screen in all its GOREY!!!!

Terrific sleeper series I caught on FX... Definitely one of the best 'zombie' style plague series with Andrew
Lincoln in the lead role fulfilling his promise after 'Love Actually'. Really strong thriller, with plenty of gore, but for all the predictable stuff, there is strong character development and some gutsy storylines which will continue with the much anticipated second season. Definitely serves the comic book well with elegiac journey of the lead character and some really iconic imagery.
