This is a great tv show now dont let the fact its a tv show put you off it has the feel and looks of a big screen movie with great f/x that dont go over the top the story line is such a good one to follow and based on the comic books... there are a lot of things that happen in the books that dont happen on screen and some that happen on screen but not in the books.
if you have never seen or ever heard of this ask a friend or family member trust me they will of heard of it and will tell you the same thing i am......... Watch it...

If you like your movies and series uncut do NOT buy this. The Walking Dead is great, what I have been waiting for in a long time, but watching this left me wondering where much of the gore was?!
Sadly it turns out that the UK (maybe all european releases?) are cut... a lot!
It really hit me in episode 4 where Amy is bitten. No flesh torn off, no zombie headshots etc.
To my knowledge only the US release is uncut, but it's only region A.
So now you know....

Not a review, but a question: Does this blu ray disc have dutch subtitles? Or English subtitles for that matter?

Walking dead is a good zombie apocalypse series based off of the graphic novels. Most of the characters and story have you drawn into it almost straight away, from there on out you really just want to find out who lives and who dies. The set-ups in the series are really well done, it all looks great, reminds me a little of zombieland and there is some quite good gory moments, although there are not loads of action scenes in it. I enjoyed it, and look forward to finding out more of what happens to the characters who survive, give it a watch.

  It was about time.

With all the zombie films it was about time someone did a tv series.
The pilot episode was superb. Setting the scene of the zombie apocalyptic world. It also humanised the story as one of the first issues it showed was what if one of the zombies was a loved one. Throw in some stereotypical plot lines of any show like the hero looking for his lost wife and child and you have what is a short but brilliant series. Now mid way through series two on uk tv and series three commissioned already in USA.

Gripping, tense and very very very gorey. Definitely not for the squeamish. Way more gorey than the likes of dawn of the dead remake.

  Ultimate Zombie series

The walking dead is brillantly done, i have to say i could watch this time and time again and not get bored. The characters are well produced each having their own identity and not some soppy teenage girls running around screaming like you see in movies. Can't wait for the 2nd series to come out on dvd.

  no tv series like it

Decided to watch this on Bluray since it was ruined by adverts on the telly every 10 minutes.
Have to say its pretty damn good even though I do not usually like american tv series as they are too long winded.
The first episode stands out as being classic Zombie material
The picture quality is grainy in the long shots.
Looking forward to season two ( 13 episodes - hope its not long winded )
