Gruesome horror from Patrik Syversen, director of Manhunt, in which some unlucky teenagers are chosen as fresh meat for a group of bloodthirsty creatures. Amber (Ruta Gedmintas) is a small-town girl who dreams of escaping to the big city. Taking to the road with a group of friends, she doesn't get far before breaking down. However, a truck driver agrees to give them a ride. After their initial relief, the youngsters have a look at the cargo surrounding them only to find containers of blood. The truck stops and they are unloaded into a pitch-black, abandoned warehouse where something awaits...

This is the second after dark film release so far in this series after Husk! Yet again this is a pretty cool horror flick with plenty of blood splashed about!! The story is good and has a few cool original ideas, a group of friends are given a ride in the back of a lorry after their car breaks down and are unwillingly dumped off at an abandoned slaughter house ready for the picking of some mutant vampire type half human creatures! If you love horror then this is a pretty decent purchase, nice twist in the end too which you kind of dont expect, just a shame it never went any further after a short 80 mins. No features on disc but trailers!!

 ENTERTAINING ENOUGH

Though not one of the best AFTERDARK titles, this was a lot better than i was lead to believe by all the negative reviews. There's enough here to entertain most horror fans, even if it is nothing special.
The story is basic, these teenagers hitch a lift and after getting a little suspicious about the boxes in the van, they are unknowingly driven into a warehouse. It soon becomes clear the warehouse is full of blood hungry creatures on the prowl, the beasts being kind of human, but also like savage dogs... sort of. The head of these creatures shows up and it becomes clear these things are being taught to hunt, well now there's prey, they're determined to get it.
The lead character has something odd going on about her,all becomes clear and it makes for a good little story. The acting is good enough for this kind of film,a fair bit of gore helps the entertainment factor and come the end, though it did end slightly disappointing for me,i was happy to have watched this short horror. I'll probably watch it again some day, perhaps in dark, where you might become convinced some nasty creatures are on the prowl.

Good Picture and sound but thats it
