Starring A-List superstars Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Angelina Jolie (Salt), The Tourist is an edge-of-the-seat action-adventure, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice. When Frank (Depp) crosses paths with the mysterious and seductive Elise (Jolie), his holiday takes an unexpected and dangerous turn. When armed assassins chase him from his hotel room in a hail of bullets, Frank begins to understand that he and Elise have been drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse. As the net begins to close around them, Frank soon realizes that to escape with his life, he will have to learn to fight back.... or die.

Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (The Lives of Others) and written by the legendary Julian Fellowes and Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects), The Tourist is a sexy and glamorous action thriller.

Johnny Depp AND Angelina Jolie in the same movie, one of the Hottest pairings ever, in one of the lamest and most disappointing movies of the year.
The story is silly at best, its too slow, without having any real reason to be so slow. Scenes where the story is not moving forward, with a overbearing and annoying Background score.
Surprisingly there is no real chemistry between Depp and Jolie. She is this Elegant lady swanning around and He is his usual Quirky self.
Timothy Dalton was Brilliant in his 2 scenes and one of the very few high lites. Paul Bettany was very annoying all the way through. Venice looked cool.
First hour is just terrible, it does get a little better in the last 30 mins.
The most disappointing thing for me was that this film is directed by the same man who made the AMAZING German film THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
I can't believe this movie got Golden Globe Actor and Actress nominations for Depp and Jolie in the Musical or Comedy category.
The Tourist is definitely a bit of a joke, but let's not start nominating it for Awards!!!

well, a film starring two such 'iconic' stars would have generated much interest from movie fans, 'angelina jolie' ( laura croft ) and 'johnny depp' ( jack sparrow ) 'wow'
the film itself is enjoyable, constantly displaying the talent the two have to offer.
the story line tells of 'elise' taking instructions from her 'much wanted' lover to meet up and evade those who are on his trail, including 'british intellegence' and the 'mobster' who the 'lover' had stolen 'millions' from.
enter the tourist, 'frank' who is chosen on the train to 'venice' to throw the persuers off the trail by 'elise'
as the pursuers close in 'frank' finds himself dodging 'bullets'eeminly dragged into a position he doesn't understand.
the film has much humour along with a 'guess who' theme, coupled with an element of excitment......well worth a spin.
