True Blood's Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) stars in this low budget, privately funded, Australian modern western. The fact he's in it is the cause it was released in Europe. He plays a young rookie cop, part of a local police team out to stop a returning legend felon Jimmy Conway. The film heats up after 40 minutes of dullness when the scarred faced, shot gun wielding Conway turns up for revenge.
A directorial debut film, it is TV movie-esque but has an enjoyable shoot-out sequence on the hour mark. The film is quite basic, set in the Australian red hills of Victoria. There is a good ending, revealing a twist in the story between Old Bill and his police squad, and convict on the run Conway.
If you like the sound of the cast, plot, location, modern westerns or police cowboys in rural Australia then this will just about scrape through for your entertainment, most people will give this a miss and not miss much in my opinion.
Jimmy Conway will be riding into town, bringing hell with him. Shoot to kill!
