Superman the movie - From the get-go you can tell it's gonna be an outstanding movie, and boy is it. 5/5
Superman II - In my opinion a fraction weaker than it's predasessor, but still amazing. 4.7/5
Superman III - A very weak installment, but not a bad one at all. 3/5
SUperman IV -Cheap and dire, if you thought S3 was bad this is attrocious!! 0/5
Superman Returns - I don't undestand if it's a sequal or a reboot, and I can't decide whether I like it or not. 3.5/5???

  Out of curiosity

I would like to know if each disc has the title of the movie on the label, because I am seeing pics around that show titleless discs for UK release, opposed to USA BDs which have titles on the labels.

  Excellent Boxed Set

This boxed set is amazing. The picture quality is top notch. Even the reconstructed Richard Donner version of Superman II is almost perfect (and it is worth buying the set for this alone). I thoroughly recommend this to anyone who likes let alone loves the Superman Movies.

  Where is the love

Not enough love put in to this, i was very dissopointed when i recived this today, Poor cardboard collection, very hard to see on each disc which film you are picking as the title is at the bottom of the disc,The menu screen is like any 2 for 5a dvd a still fram pic from the film,. the transfer is the only good thing, picture is crisp but why again have we been robbed of the uncut superman 4 quest for peace!

Superman 1 and 2 are brilliant. I have 1 on Blu-ray already which looks great.

Superman 3 is aweful and Superman 4 is absolutely disgraceful.
Superman returns never lived up the hype which is a shame. I lost interest in that when.......well I cant say because I don't want to spoil the film for anyone else

  Superman Collection

This is going to be a box set that I will be ordering. With a new Superman film coming out it will be good to watch these films again. Superman 1 and 2 are just Classic's with Christopher Reeve in the lead role and are the best in the box. Also Super 2 had a great villen Zod played by Terence Stamp who will one day play Clark Kent's father Jor-El in Smallville

Superman 3 is ok but does not match up to the first two although Richard Pryor is good in it and it does have a young Annette O'Toole who will one day play Clark Kent's Mum in Smallville.

Superman 4 from my view it is ok as I watched it when I was young, Nuclear Man is kind of strange for a bad guy but I will watch it again.

Superman Returns with Brandon Routh in the role comes near to being as good as the first 2 films. Routh played a good Superman but I feel that they miscasted Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther. The film is FX stunning and the story for a one off film is ok but as for Superman's Kid, no can't see that working in other films.

If your a Superman Fan and looking forward to the next film (Zod being the villien this time) then is a good box set for you.
