Comment: This is an ex-rental copy, as a result it has rental copy on the box and a small number written on the disc, other than that the disc is in immaculate condition. Only marked as good due to the rental part and because the box has general wear and tear you would expect from that.

Life seems perfect for John Brennan (Russell Crowe) until his wife, Lara (Elizabeth Banks) is arrested for a murder she says she didn't commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence. With the rejection of their final appeal, Lara becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot with the help of an ex con (Liam Neeson) and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

Russell Crowe yet again proves that he can really mix things up from high drama, thillers to action. The Next Three Days is one of the most gripping thrillers I have seen in a long time.
I had heard it was good from strong word of mouth but was not expecting it to be as good as this, as the film perfectly balances the the drama driven first half with the thrilling action of the prison break second half.
Credit should also go to Elizabeth Banks who plays Crowe's not Guilty/ Guilty ? wife as she certainly gives a brilliant performance of the accused wife and mother facing life in the slammer.
Liam Neeson even pops up for five minutes for a coffee and a smoke to give some advice.
But it's the get away plan the Crowe's character hatchers that although in the real world improbable, for a movie makes perfect entertainment. The film also has a heart as the scene where Crowe hugs his dad ( Brian Dennehy) for what could be the last time is superbly done.
If your a fan of Crowe or just love damn good movies The Next Three Days is a briliantly gripping, thrilling and tense movie that the only being a cerificate 12 the whole family can watch.
See If You Like.
The Fugitive
U.S. Marshalls.
Salt.
The Town.

Went to watch this at the cinema, just for a night out, with fairly average expectations.
The movie actually exceeded my expectations as I found it to be an very Intense and Suspenseful affair for the most part, with little touches of Paranoia.
The 2 lead performances were Very Good, Crowe seemed genuinely out of his depth, terrified and desperate at times. Elizabeth Banks was also good.
I also like the fact that the director included a Deaf character in a small role. You dont see that many actors with disabilities or impairments on the screen in a normal role.
Then ending was good, the only downside being that it just didnt seem to know when to end, but the little stop starts at the end was still done well.
So to sum up, the film interesting all the way through, even though it could have done with a 15 min trim to make things a little tighter.

this is a well put together thriller, that is both stylish and clever.
the story tells of 'john brennan's' belief in his wife 'lara's' innocence of murder despite the evidence stacking up against her.
'lara' faces a life behind bars, 'john' investigates every aspect he can including doing business with some pretty shady characters in an effort to plan his wife's escape.
the film builds into a very tense affair with the 'law' all but a few moments behind the trail 'john' leaves.
don't miss this one.........well worth adding to your collection.
