this is a ''must -see' movie.
the tale is about 'eddie morra' who leads a pretty mundane life, he write's, however this has not brought about any success...........his life is going nowhere.....until --his ex-brother-in-law hands him an un-tested tablet 'nzt' after a chance meeting.
the tablet suddenly gives 'eddie' a level of clarity-of-mind and a wide memory range.
'eddie'' wants more.............his sudden found knowlege and sharp reactions attract the attention of 'high-flyer's' in the business world along with people that will stop at nothing to obtain the 'tablet'
'eddie's' abilities with the tablet are truly ''limitless'
don't miss it....................enjoy.
This is a very entertaining film, it is very well acted, looks great on blu ray and has a really absorbing story. Highly recommended.
It's tantalising what director David Fincher (SE7EN, ZODIAC, FIGHT CLUB) would have done with this dark, twisted and very stylish fantasy that surges into the male psyche. As it is this is a hugely enjoyable sugar rush of possibilities as failed novelist Eddie (Bradley Cooper on excellent form) is broke and single and really needs a good shave. This al changes when he stumbles upon a stash of clear pills capable of unleashing the dormant 80% of the human brain. One pill later and he's a cerebral superman, it's a total recall of everything he's ever read, laser observations and warp-speed learning. he manages to seduce the hot landlady he owes three months rent to, types out a best selling novel over the weekend, masters Italian and Chianese during an afternoons jogging and transforms into a slick suited Gordon Gekko-esque finacial genius. Limitless is a thrilling rush of eye popping colours and great special effects that hits a high everytime Eddie does. There are mondblowing telescopic zooms through Manhatten that gives the viewer a giddy sensation that matches the film perfectly.
Cooper makes the most of his first major role of real range, but in this fantasy there is a dark side and things start to go bad as Eastern European loan sharks want Eddies blood and Business mogul Carl van Loom (Robert De Nero, taking himself semi-seriously for once) and a knife-wielding mystery man plus some scary side effects to the drug are all closing in on his perfect world.
Limitless is very smart, it's a dark satire and moves very fast and is alot of fun, the script is clever with the bonus of some very funny lines ("Wear differnt coloured suits", Eddie tells is two body guards. "This isn't the Matix.") and also some surpising jolts of violence and some great twist. Wait for the inventively queasy one that sees Eddie thinking his way out of the bloody finale.
Limiless is one of the smartest, enjoyable of 2011.

ok, so we went to see this after seeing the trailer and thinking...yep worth a watch and have to say it was brilliant. I loved bradley coopers portrayal of both genius and underdog and the supporting cast were pretty good too. A little disappointed with robert de niro who i think was a little under used but all in all a very good concept and a brilliant ending that you dont really expect! own it!
