Filled with thrilling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko, Prince of Persia). Captain Colter Stevens (Gyllenhaal) awakens on a speeding commuter train with no idea how he got there. Seeking refuge in the bathroom, he's shocked to see another man's reflection in the mirror. Suddenly a massive explosion rips through the train. Almost instantly, Colter is transported to a high-tech isolation unit where he discovers he is on a high-priority mission to identify a bomber who destroyed a train just hours earlier and who plans to kill thousands more with a much larger explosion in the heart of Chicago. A top-secret program, named 'source code', allows Colter to exist briefly as another man in the parallel reality of the doomed commuter train. Each time he returns to the train, Colter has just eight minutes to uncover the bomber's identity. The more he learns, the more convinced he becomes that he can prevent the deadly blast from ever happening-unless time runs out first.

Didnt like the last movie I saw, that had a loop premise, which was Vantage Point, so was a bit sceptical going into this.
But also comforted by the Directors last movie MOON, and Jake Gyllenhaals track record over the years.
I really liked this. Very impressive Sci Fi Action Movie with a Brain
But the main factor that for me that elevates the movie to a 5 star level is the relationship between The Lead Character and the Girl on the Train.
Without this, the movie would not be anywhere near as good as it is.
Top Marks go to Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga. And also director Duncan Jones.
The Explosion on the scene was very well designed and didnt feel boring or repetitive.
Anyway one of my Best Movies of 2011 so far.

Source Code is the second feature from Moon director Duncan Jones (David Bowie's son) and the director only adds strengh to the fact that if he carries on making intellighent thrillers like this he will be the new Chris Nolan or Danny Boyle.
Source Code is a brilliantly intertaining and brainy reality hopping thriller where we see Jake Gyllenhaal (Colter Stevens) a U.S. helicopter pilot who is mysteriously seperated from his unit in Afghanistan, only to wake on a commuter train heading to downtown Chigago sat opposite Michelle Monaghan with no clue who she is or how he got there,. Then the train explodes. This is only the opening eight minues in and from this the film grips like a vice. To explain more would only spoil the thrill of the ride, and twist's and turns of the story.
This movie offer a tight script a brilliant lead by Gyllenhaal and film that never lets go of it's grip from the opening sequence to the credits rolling.
Reality hopping is nothing new in cinema, but this is one of the best of the bunch and demands to be seen.
See if you like.
The Matrix.
Inception.
Deja Vu.
Frequency.
Quantum Leap.
12 Monkeys.
Donnie Darko.

Totally loved this movie and enjoyed it more than Inception. Don't miss this MUST-SEE film.
An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train.
