Rubber (Blu-ray)

This is a very bizarre movie with a very unusual idea for a plot but its rather excellent! The idea of a killer tyre is pretty unbelievable by a mile but works really well with a very comedic plot backed up by some great splatter gore effects which are very well done indeed, the animation of the tyre is pretty cool, just a shame theres no making of or commentary!! Over all I would stress allot of people will feel cheated out of money buying this, this is for people who love original weird twisted artistic movies with a very open mind, its very enjoyable, I loved the ending and would love to see a sequel!

This film is genius but it will most likely be lost on some folk, without wishing to directly cast any aspersions.

If you like your films traditional, don't watch this. If you like your films to make sense, don't watch this. If you don't understand the abstract, the anti-normal, the strange - don't watch this.

This film is introduced as "an homage...to 'No Reason'" - Treat it as such and you'll have fun with it. It's one of the least-serious films I have EVER watched, something that most film-makers could take a leaf out of. It's clever, well-performed and has beautiful visual quality - some of the shots/cinematography are superb and it has BLU-RAY quality that is up there with the best.

You'll never say that this film is the best you've ever seen, I would never give it 5 stars out of 5 - but I would watch it again and enjoy it for what it is - a wonderful, abstract, funny & bizarre distraction from the mainstream BAU-style of film.

although not to everybody's taste, (probably a huge understatement) this is ,never the less, absolute genius, like nothing ever seen before.
the strange thing is the fact that the tyre with a life of it's own becomes less bizarre the more one watches, as the desert audiences strangeness overshadows the main character.
extremely well made and top notch blu ray quality. highly recommended for fans of 'out there' viewing. 10/10 !!

This is a great movie. I'd give it 4/5 stars but I felt like giving it 5 to in some way counteract the negative review someone left, who were probably dissapointed it wasn't anything like Transormers: Revenge of the Transformer Monsters.

I like the look, feel, self-awareness, soundtrack and characters in this movie.

For such a ridiculous idea it's done very well.

If you like Wes Anderson and also like B-movies then you will enjoy this.
