If you love action films or series, you're in for a treat! Absolutely Brilliant! I have re-watched each episode 3 times! She is the perfect female assassin and the cliff hanger ending is breathtaking...do watch!

  Another great series!!

I started watching Nikita when it was first shown on sky, unfortunatly I did not have much time to watch it week in week out and it really dis jointed the series with the adverts etc. So I picked up the Blu ray boxed set and started from the begining again! Great series, lots of action, some good twists and characters. The Blu ray quality is good and the acting is pretty good throughout. The price is a steal as there are like 22 episodes, I am really looking forward to the next series and hope it does not get cancelled! Fans of 24 etc will love this!!

I watched this when it aired on sky living, but in standard definition.
Although I enjoyed it very much, the picture quality did not do it any justice. What a revelation upon seeing the blu ray!
It is the only way to appreciate the series and to me was like watching it for the first time.
In any event the series withstands repeated viewing, with a strong storyline and reasonable acting throughout by the (mostly) young cast and seasoned veterans like Xander Berkely (inspired choice) and Maggie Q (kick-ass beautiful).

I am also a massive fan of Luc Besson's movie but this is completely different, only basic elements of that film are retained here.
Obviously you need to like 'invincible assassin' type movies to enjoy it
really, probably not for fans of the English Patient...

I'd seen it advertised on tv for ages, and when I finally started watching it I was hooked. The show is about a woman who has gone rogue from a corrupt government agency called Division - who are a secret sector of the government who recruit young adults who are severed from everything and everyone and train them to become assassins - after they betrayed her. Determined to bring down Division, Nikita enlists the aid of the young and beautiful Alex who she has planted into Division to provide inside intel on the agency so they can bring it down while staying one step ahead of the baffled agency. Starring some excellent actors and actresses, Nikita is a show I would recommend and I can't wait to buy season 1.
