James Cameron's Avatar 3D & 2D (With DVD) (Blu-ray)

I have a copy of this Blu Ray which i recieved when i purchased a Panasonic 50in 3d TV. I have watched a lot of 3d content on my Panasonic 3d tv but the copy of Avatar is by far the best. The picture quality is superb and the 3d is awsome. The colours are vibrant and the depth of the 3d is the best i have seen. This isnt 3d that comes out of the screen and pokes you in the eye, It is used well and pulls you into its world with the depth and clarity. I saw this film on the cinema in 3d, but this Blu ray surpasses the cinema version mostly because its in HD and crystal clear picture and vibrant colours. If ever there was a reason to buy 3d this is it.

Superb film, which shows 3D TVs at their very best. Plus the format is 1.78:1 so it runs fullscreen, with no black lines above or below. Well done the manufacturer for producing it in the correct format for all modern TVs.

Like the previous reviewer I received my 3D copy after purchasing a Panasonic 3D TV and 3D DVD player. I can only agree with everything said in the above review. Put simply: if you liked the 2D version then you'll just love the 3D version. The "legendary floating mountains of Pandora" are even more stunning in 3D, so much so that you're almost there with them. No 3D stunts or gimmicks but classy (and classic) visual effects that truly enhance what is already a great film. If you liked Avatar 2D then you'll just love the 3D version. An absolute 'must have' 3D movie for your collection.

I thougt it would have had extra footage in it . I have seen that film it gives the film so much more depth . they must be releasing that one later . I would not have got this one if I had know but no running time or mension to help . I feel conned : (

I cant wait anymore, when will this 3d version be availeble? the movie is allready 3 years old and should be out on 3d 2.5 years ago if you ask me...
