great film looks great on my LG 47in 3D TV but why the 3 stars its because its the first film that came out ,not the extended one so my guest is give in a few months and the last version will be in 3D and out so that we spend even more money time they stopped ripping us off or one day we may just wait a couple of years for the final version to buy

  3D comes of age

'avatar' is arguably one of, if not the most 'visually' stunning movie presentations ever brought to screen.......so far.
'3-D' is how the film was allways intended to be viewed.
well worth owning

Demo quality 3D but no Special Features!

Having seen this film at the cinema when it first came out I have waited patiently for 3 years to see the Blu Ray 3D version of this film to be made available to the general public (and not exclusively to buyers of Panasonic TV's) I am hugely dissapointed that the Special Features which were on the Blu Ray Extended editions of this film are NOT included on this edition -- a complete and total "vanilla" disc. As I say demo quality 3D but one star deducted for no Special Features. Shame on you 20th Century Fox !!

  Superb 3d...........

Waited for this a long time not for the film itself which is quite good but for the 3D presentation.
It was better than I expected and I expected a lot.
Fabulous picture and sound quality and superlative 3D. The scenes in the forest amongst all the beautiful plants and trees are literally breathtaking.
The colour pallet is astonishing, and the 3D so real you feel you can walk through your TV screen and into Pandora.
Very highly recommended.
Mr. Cameron, more 3D like this please...............

  AMAZING!!

I can remember going to see this film at the cinema in 3D on the IMAX and being totally blown away by how amazing it was.
I refused to pay in excess of 50 pound on auction sites for the blu ray (which people were getting with their TV's) so I was very excited when the 3D Blu ray was released.
One word.. Amazing!!
Again, I was totally blown away!! The 3D is simply awsome and the picture quality and sound quality are fantastic.
I watched it on a 46" Samsung LED TV with surround sound and was well impressed.
Buy this Blu ray and I swear it will be the best disc in your collection!!

After 3 years its still the top 3D film

Just got my new copy 2 days before release and sat down in front of my 3D TV and thought is it going to be the same film on my 3DTV from the 1 in the cinema 3 years ago and the answer is a VERY BIG YES. It has not dated and the 3D is just very good. Please note this is not the pop out the screen 3D but its all about depth thats what the new 3D age is all about depth.Do i need to explain the movie and the answer should be no, cause i thing everybody went to see this movie.Yes JAMES CAMERON pinched the story from 2 films, a cartoon called fern gully and dances with wolves and set it on a Alien planet but who cares, its still a bloody good movie.
